But I agree, I feel as though this sketch is either teasing a potential high performance model, kinda like how some of the gt350 design cues were shown in the original 2015 sketches. Or it could be a good direction for a facelift. If the rear looked like this, it would basically be perfect.
But that's completely missing the point of what I'm saying. I'm not saying the mach-e is a replacement for the traditional coupe. All I'm saying is the "It looks like a mach-e" argument makes no sense when the mach-e looks like a mustang. It's attacking a mustang design for looking like a...
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, takes like this make zero sense. You're saying you're mad ford took cues from the mach-e, which is highly debatable. But even if they did, the mach-e took it's design cues from the mustang. So you're mad that ford used mustang cues on a mustang, I just...
I love this angle, gives me a Polestar 1 kinda vibe if it was more agressive. Not a bad thing considering that car is one of the best looking coupes on sale and it's over 100k
Not surprising, a lot of what makes modern designs pop and great looking is the surfacing and overall proportions. But this doesn't really come across through videos and pics. This is especially true with many of ford's most recent designs. In videos and pics, I though the bronco, bronco sport...
I'm guessing this is done for areo reasons. Wheels produce turbulent air vortexs that can majorly screw up a cars aerodynamic efficiency. I'm guessing tucking them in cleans up the air flow as it travels around the car. Could be wrong. Prob also a safety thing, wheels that stick out more tend to...
Yeah, I'm starting to think silver is the s650's color. Makes the lines and overall shape really pop. Would love to do some black, or dark grey stripes with a vibrant teal stripe outline or something.
Don't give them inspiration for their mood boards!!!!!! But yeah, Toyota is especially bad at making almost good looking cars, and then messing it up somewhere. The Avalon is a pretty clean, attractive looking sedan. Then you get to that hideous grille, and it ruins it. The current Highlander...
Alright, I think I'm officially on board with the new rear end. This design is just the perfect way to send off ICE powered mustangs if it ends up being the last one. The design feels even more timeless than the s550, and that's saying something.
Ok, I try to appreciate when designers create something unique, and some of Toyota's designs, like the new rav 4 and sienna don't look awful to me. But what the fuck is that? Looks like something living in the basement of the Chernobyl plant for 40 years and it's just be unleashed to wreak havoc...
I see where you're coming from, but I respectfully disagree. The front and rear fenders are more pronounced on the s650. The way I see it's the s650 has a more muscular, sharper, and well defined overall body shape with more subtle details. Whereas the s550 is sharper details with a more subtle...
Well hey, if you're breathing in your own farts and obsessing over small design details, it just means you've earned your place on this site. But it all seriousness,I agree with you. Your eye is drawn towards the proportions and surfacing overall.
That last one is especially terrible because I believe that's a Mazda body with a Toyota front end. Mazda has very beautiful, organic designs, and Toyota is all agression and hard edges. Just doesn't work.
