  1. Would You Consider a Smaller Foxbody Inspired Mustang?

Exactly, it's no surprise that it's difficult to make a business case for a new sports car due to low sales and profitability. Hence why platform sharing and trying to distribute those develop costs across multiple models is crucial.
  2. 2024 Mustang GT "Looks Much Better In Person!" (Walkaround Video @ LA Auto Show)

Good shots, but what the hell was that Wario scream at the 21 second mark?
  3. Would You Consider a Smaller Foxbody Inspired Mustang?

Exactly, as you pointed out, the gt86 is selling well, and unless I missed something, the only car it shares a platform with it the BRZ. So it doesn't have the economies of scale that the C2 has.
  4. Would You Consider a Smaller Foxbody Inspired Mustang?

True but the issue with the Camaro was it was trying to be smaller and lighter while still competing against larger, more muscular cars. I'm talking about doing an additional mustang model designed to appeal to people like the gt86 buyers and old school purists.
  5. Official YELLOW SPLASH Mustang S650 Thread

Do we know this for sure? The order banks won't even open for months The s550 didn't have a bad looking front end by any means. But seeing it side by side with the s650 just makes the s650 look so modern/striking.
  6. All-New Ford Mustang (S650) GT Supercars Race Car Revealed at Bathurst 1000

I love how the pit crew is just punching the cars lol. That is hardcore stuff right there.
  7. Official YELLOW SPLASH Mustang S650 Thread

The s550 2015-2017 front end looks great. But this looks like a nice evolution to that. I didn't realize just how soft the front end of the s550 was until I saw this. Personally love the black going down the bumper. Looks like a tamer gt500 front end. I've said it before, but I view the gt's...
  8. Official YELLOW SPLASH Mustang S650 Thread

This design just keeps looking better and better. Blows my mind that people call this front end ugly.
  9. S650 - The designers speak

You better take some photos, and document your thoughts. If you don't, I will marry you just to leave you.
  10. Would You Consider a Smaller Foxbody Inspired Mustang?

In the sense that paying tribute to 80s design language is more modern than paying tribute to 60s design language. Plus it would be a mostly fresh, and new design, with a few retro touches, rather than a design that had to look identical to an old one, that's what I mean by progressive.
  11. Project 6GR aftermarket wheels preview for S650 Mustang

Ah hell yeah, those wheels are awesome. Especially love the wheels shown in the first close up.
  12. S650 - The designers speak

Bro, you seem like the kind of guy who would join a religious forum as an atheist just to constantly insult people who are just trying to enjoy their religion. Or the person with strong political views who constantly attacks voters who support the opposing party. There's nothing with having your...
  13. S650 - The designers speak

Hell yeah, line flow always makes a design look better. Excellent analysis, I noticed from day one how the lines on the front end flowed into one another. But I never noticed how the inner character lines on the hood lined up perfect with the "fangs" in the grille.
  14. Official VAPOR BLUE Mustang S650 Thread

Basically, I'm not surprised, it's a tweaked, more metallic version of Area 51 and that color is the same way. With crappy lighting, it's not great, but under a lot of conditions, it's a knock out.
  15. S650 - The designers speak

I don't understand takes like this at all. You presumably haven't seen the design in person, yet you're writing it off. I rarely get behind the "It doesn't look like X anymore" comments, they rarely make sense, especially for a car like the mustang. The mustang has had such a wide variety of...
  16. Would You Consider a Smaller Foxbody Inspired Mustang?

Hell, if Ford has proven this platform can be profitable on the maverick with a starting price in the low 20s, and the focus being cheaper still,I wouldn't be surprised if they could make a business case for pricing these at a starting price in the mid to high 20s going up to about 40k or so...
  17. Sacrifices....

This is totally me anytime I go to a car show with anyone lol. They're like, let's go, and I'm like, we've only been here an hour.
  18. Would You Consider a Smaller Foxbody Inspired Mustang?

In many respects I agree with you, but to be fair, a lot of the affordable sports car concepts that get canned use a bespoke platform, something which, as you essentially pointed out, isn't economically viable anymore. But sharing a platform may work. The c2 has almost certainly made it's...
  19. Would You Consider a Smaller Foxbody Inspired Mustang?

Idk, of course it doesn't look identical to a fox body, that's not what I'm saying. But it's clearly inspired by it, more compact dimensions, more upright roofline like the fox body, with what could be a hatch in the rear. The lack of a large upper grille, even the line on the hood that sweeps...
