Start searching the posts...you're right, it's hard to find one that hasn't at least had a drag pack or seats etc taken out
12.1-12.2 @ 115-118 seem to be what the fast ones are running
When you mention jerking around, I wonder if your issue was due to the clutch or the tune. The supercharger shouldn't really factor into the way the car drives unless you are past 3/4 throttle.
And I want to see before and after datalogs from the car, showing the knock with gas from one station, not showing it with gas from station 2, and then putting gas from station 1 back in...
Gas is the first thing to be blamed for any car problem when it's almost never the case.
Why did you hate your 2016?
A 6 speed with a Whipple should be plenty of fun
Just read the fine print, if you blow the transmission they are only going to cover $2,000, which is BS because it'll probably cost that much to just remove and re-install it!
again, "top tier" just means it has a certain detergent package
Costco has has had a bad reputation on the forums for years, especially with supercharged cars
No, but a lot of people have found certain brands of gas "93" to show knock on their cars when others don't
I know I am getting decent gas from either Sunoco or Mobil so that's the only places I get it from. I don't have a Costco membership but I don't get gas from Kroger or Speedway.
Top Tier sticker just means it has a qualifying detergent blend. It doesn't mean anything about the octane. It only tests for deposits.
I can't see how the previous poster's gas gauge failure was nothing more than coincidence, though.
