  1. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

calls the previous generations trash, proceeds to say market was exhausted in 2016/17 so what youre saying is that the S550 was so lackluster that nobody really wanted to trade for one after its second year? whats your point here?
  2. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

i find this statement very funny with the added context that the S550 is the LEAST sold Mustang generation, especially compared to the S197 it replaced, S197 sold 620k units in the first 5 years, S550 sold 614K...in 8 years.
  3. Gauges

thats if they can find/afford it though since most sales are still done on dealer lots anyone looking for a mustang, 4 banger or otherwise, will probably find it easier than a ranger raptor
  4. Gauges

thanks, i wonder where that discrepancy comes from then. either way, you can already see the beginnings of the recent market movements here, S550 sales are up to 2018 levels. i wonder what influenced it more, the Camaro and Challenger leaving production, or Dealers trying to push the S550 out...
  5. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

anyway...to get this topic back on track. I can understand why some people would be upset about the change, after all the double cowl design is a legacy design that's been around for a long while. But, at the same time, i didn't buy my mustang for its dashboard, and my co workers, friends, and...
  6. Gauges

im curious where you get your numbers from. i got the ~15k from their US sales release from the start of April, so my info could be out of date. here it is if you want to look at it
  7. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

first off: NY post = immediatly going to obfuscate as much as they can because they are known to push an agenda lets take a good look at this then... according to the NY post, Cnn, WSJ, and Fox: bud light sales have dipped 17%, but heres the funny thing... those sales were in the US only...
  8. Gauges

i know, i was just putting some numbers to this topic, unfortunately Ford doesnt breakdown by model year (bad wording on my part), thats just Q1 2023 sales for new Mustangs
  9. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

im starting to think you dont even know what those numbers mean. but feel free to go with what you believe your opinion has been noted in case youre still wondering and clearly dont like reading its only 1.6% down from last year. but okay, fine, im tired of arguing with a brick wall, agree...
  10. Gauges

Ford stated 2023 production numbers at just under 15,000 units in Q1 which ended in March. so using basic math theres roughly 3000 dealers nationwide so thats 5 2023 mustangs per lot, obviously thats averaging, theres definitely going to be a lot of lots without any 2023's correction: 15000...
  11. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

oh right, those sales figures that ive been using to explain exactly WHY the mustang is changing the way it is? those ones? the ones that show a clear drop in sales vs previous generations and even when compared to sales trends of their competitors? those numbers? right... then let me break...
  12. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

Cheap because China doesnt have worker protection laws so cam pay people 25 cents an hour, which, considering its the single largest cost of any company in the world, explains why its so cheap. otherwise the materials, machines, and assembly lines are all the same as the US. the tech inside isnt...
  13. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

Also...the LGBTQ+ community has been a massive portion of Anheuser-Bush's market since the fucking 80's. please remove head from asshole
  14. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

you know youve lost touch with reality when you think the tag "Chinese made" automatically means bad, hate to tell you this bud, china makes shit like this better than the US does. Good job pulling that 2/3rds number out of your ass, mustve been hard to reach around all the other shit youre...
  15. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

ok sure, i guess since ford had supply constraints we can discount since they obviously lost to dodge that year...whats that? the F150 STILL outsold the Ram in the same time frame? strange its almost like theres more to it than supply constraints... for the rest of the years congrats you manage...
  16. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

it lost to the challenger for the past two years. which in a normal battle, would be a decent sales pace, however when you consider the challenger has had steady and consistent sales since 2015, while the mustang took a solid nose dive off the nearest cliff, almost in pace with the camaro, just...
  17. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

you can compare it to previous generations as thats a great indicator of health of the brand, and sad to say compared year for year to the S197 there is only 1 single year where the S550 outsold the S197, that was year 5 of production 2019 vs 2009, and if you have more than 5 braincells youll...
  18. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

i mean Fords gotta try something, the S550 was a horrible performer sales wise when compared to the S197 and all previous generations.
  19. Remote Start for 6-speed MT

i remember hearing one of the engineers say in a video at one point the reason they dont have those for the manuals are for legal reasons. probably dont trust dumb asses to not try that stuff while the car is in gear.
  20. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

if thats your opinion then fine, like i said, i like the change ultimately when you look at side by side comparisons, the screens are set far enough back that the gauges are still in roughly the same location, just without the excessive cowls covering them. as for the second bit. yeah i can...
