  1. S550 vs S650

It's not you, the s650 hate was baked in the cake long ago. I prefer some mechanical controls too. But in the big scheme of things, anything I may consider a 'deficiency' disappears when I step into the whipple assisted throttle.
  2. S550 vs S650

NOW we're getting somewhere, but we need more trolling. Let's get back to the fist pounding, keyboard thrashing s650 hate, shall we? I keep having to check the URL and make sure it's mustang7g... You're tilting at windmills here. Doesn't it say somewhere in the Forum rules that you have to...
  3. Spotted in the wild

Is it ok if I hate you just a little? DAMN! That car is SUH WEET !
  4. S550 vs S650

SHHH! You CAN'T say that here ! You will be excommunicated as a heretic. REPENT and declare your faith and allegiance to the S550 or ... well, I don't know, they just seem to disappear. :cwl:
  5. Spotted in the wild

Model A Ford 3 year restoration, and super cool. There was a Jeeper in front of me at the fuel tanks, and I didn't want to ruin the picture.
  6. Spare tire (yes, again)

I learned all I needed to know about bmw when the one I was piloting on Susten pass lost its brakes about 3 miles from Andermatt. :explode: I have the DHHP so that’s why I want to see that 315 stuffed in the trunk. Maybe it can be done, but I don’t want to find out the hard way.
  7. Spare tire (yes, again)

Ok, that's great, but the 315 rear is not some ***** m3 wheel/tire :-P I posted a pic previously, I got everything to lay flat, jack, tire plug kit and all. I couldn't get the inflater in there, but it can be done.
  8. I must not be driving fast enough . . . .

You can simply leave it engaged and press the gas pedal to override some of the "back off". I do this all the time if I suspect a slow moving turtle is about to move left to pass an even slower moving turtle. Damn. We have 2 lane roads signed at 75. Your law makers and law enforcers are...
  9. I must not be driving fast enough . . . .

First road trip with the whipple and best mpg I've seen since:
  10. Beautiful red dark horse lost the engine

You really need to tag posts like this with "WARNING: Gratuitous Musclecar Porn!"
  11. Beautiful red dark horse lost the engine

That is some timeless beauty right there.
  12. Victim of a pothole :(

    What wheels are those?
  13. Front tires out of round

I agree, but I will point out that just because he feels the intensity of the vibration most at that speed range doesn't mean the vibration isn't there at other speeds and not noticed. Yup. These kinds of problems will make your hair turn white or pull it out in frustration.
  14. Front tires out of round

what cold psi? If you're feeling the vibration in the steering wheel now, it's going to degrade over time/miles. It is not going to improve by itself.
  15. Front tires out of round

ask if they can measure vertical and horizontal run out. The tire may need to come off for the vertical check. Basically you mount the wheel, put a fixed, non marring tool right up against the wheel edge and rotate. none of them are perfect, the question is whether the run out is acceptable...
  16. Front tires out of round

This won't cause any collateral damage by itself over even hundreds, possibly thousands of miles unless you are WAY out of round / balance. Unfortunately, you have >1 variable at each corner; tires & wheels. Does your shop have a 'road force' balancer? This is much more precise and balances...
  17. I want my s550 back.

As much as I hate the hue and cry "there oughta be a law" ... This really needs to be outlawed.
  18. Hit a Coyote With My Coyote

Ouch. Sorry to hear about that but glad you're ok. Not long after track attack I got to test out my HP brembos vs. a feral cat that crossed perilously in front of me at about 70mph. The cat made it, damn those brakes are great. Unfortunately I nailed a raccoon on the way to the gym a few...
  19. I want my s550 back.

so @Billycar11 isn't wrong about the possibility of vehicle data sharing. https://www.verisk.com/company/newsroom/ford-and-verisk-collaborate-to-offer-telematics-data-to-insurers/ But this reports to Verisk; a data warehouse...
