Iām not sure if you are asking preemptively, or if you have had a problem; I carry 2x spares in the rear of my Raptor, both with TPMS sensors. Usually the 4 rotating tires register with just simple driving- or rotating several times. But, when I bring the bed tires into the rotation, THEY...
No shĆt, whatās your point? OP asked for a more economical option, and they are quite capable for a street tire ; one can literally drive to the track, run a weekend on track, and drive home. This and the Trofeos at least need to be mentioned here. The former would be more economical than the...
Iāve been out ofthat world for a minute but thatās a solid use for the feature. I got lit up on Fort Meade years ago for ādriving with aux lights onā. I was dubious, sat there for a bit, 2nd time he came back fishing I politely asked for the stop rationale and when he said it I asked for the...
Starter marriage of 30 years, 2 months plus some time living in sin and still goin strong. She has never compelled or tried to coerce me into any kind of major purchase or tried to sack a purchase I made. She did, wrongly, extend a lease on a Tercel without telling me when we first got...
Cool! As long as youāre aware. I used to run the pc in city +2 on the street but took it off road and the mud/sand mode throttle map was way too steep and not as easy to modulate. Iām sure with practice itād be ok but honestly, too much trouble to mess with if Iām just mode-ing up 4 then have...
Which itself could be a problem.
I have a pedal commander on my Raptor, because the early Raptors didnāt have a ānormalā drive mode, it was a rebadged āecoā mode. 10th gear by 42mph, and only downshifts at or near full throttle.
The problem is that anything over ācityā mode on the PC is too...
Meh. the rs200 wouldnāt survive 2 miles of Dakar, which is what Farley is aiming for. Dakar is for off road what the Isle of Man TT is for motorcycles; an absolute crucible of a torture test. If your bike can survive the Isle of Man ( cough... Ducati ... ) itās a truly special machine. If...
The only dyno numbers Iāve seen posted on a stock Mustang, not tuned was 12 rwhp, not 30-40.
The .25 mile time improvement is impressive though.
Itās the volume that kills it for me.
As soon as a fuel discussion imports the 2 words āinflation adjustedā then itās all about the numbers. The thing about the numbers is, if you torture them enough eventually they will tell you what you want to hear.
Inflation adjusted is the plea of government talking heads when the price...

yeah, there could be more done, and weāre not setting aside enough for the US market but all in all, itās better now than it was.
Right now, you would know by the letter from Ford Motor Company and Iāve read of ~ 3 Raptor owners who reported āsomething went wrongā. IOW, no brakes.
Honestly, itās just dumb luck that nobody has been seriously injured, at least that we know of. Owners had this problem literally months...
True. That said:
Ford does not, and apparently cannot rely on the OTA updates for at least recalls. I got pushed the āblack screenā recall update OTA and it installed successfully. I then got a recall notice in the mail, checked with the stealership and it is marked as incomplete.
This...
Understood, but they definitely held up fine over the 4-5 laps at a time there. Iām sure they give up some traction over 9/10 but youāre only going to get to that limit on a track, while pushing.
After about 1800 street miles on the Trofeos, mine were absolutely shagged, spinning everywhere I went, even when judicious on the throttle. I babied the car for a few hundred miles and had to switch as they got less sticky and more dangerous.
The Michelins I put on obviously stuck way better...
