Actually, not too early.
This month I received a follow-up purchase survey from Ford. The initial survey was about QC, styling, personality, etc. This second survey focused (pun) almost exclusively on why I picked the Mustang, asked of other specific models, if I considered those, and, under...
$1500. I'd like to see more details. If the headlights do something other than look nice (like, they are a significant, superior light), or the package changes several items which greatly compliment the car, maybe. Otherwise, I think I'd just add black badging later.
“A dark horse is a previously lesser-known person or thing that emerges to prominence in a situation, especially in a competition involving multiple rivals, …”
“a candidate or competitor about whom little is known but who unexpectedly wins or succeeds.”
When I think back to all the Mustang...
During the MY22 increases, Ford, in the press release announcing the increase/s, would state existing orders had Price Protection.
But you're correct, while Ford might offer it, the dealer has to participate. Invoice and below-invoice deals carry the most risk. A handful of dealers which had...
In each mid-MY increase throughout '22, Ford did two things:
1. Advertised the increase 30-60 days ahead of time, so orders could be placed prior.
2. Offered Price Protection to existing orders.
Price Protection is for the price of the car. Destination fees also increased in 2022, with us...
Completing a Ford Purchase Survey this AM, some insight on topics covered...
Throughout the survey, it was clearly identified I'd purchased a Mustang. Questions consistently asked how I'd compared the Mustang to the following, before making the purchase decision:
- Subaru WRX
- Mini Cooper E
-...
I was not impressed by the Mach 1 display, with the gears and pinion; it remains in the box. The enclosed documentation though, the brochure and the letter, were nice.
I like to see future kits with a scale replica of the owners car, in their color, with a small plaque indicating the VIN. A...
The past two MYs, Ford has been pretty bad about updating their web site. Not only late to update features, but often with errors. But there's hope. We're seeing more and more reveals, and, we've witnessed some great renderings here.
I wish everyone well with their orders and their cars.
I placed an order in January and received the car in June. In those six months, the price of my order increased $3000. Fortunately, I and others received Price Protection, but not everyone did.
Destination and delivery prices increased...
Thanks for the video. IMO, the increase in sightings give promise to an earlier start of production.
It's probably the lighting, resolution, etc., but...I'd like to see the same car with a black 5.0 badge and black spoiler. I own a GBM, but breaking things up a bit can enhance almost any color...
I can go some days without ever seeing one Mustang. Others, it seems I can't walk five feet without tripping over one.
I've witnessed three other M1s in my area, two base models (yellow, orange) and one HP (FJG). But I've only seen each of these once.
S550s of various other flavors are most...
FWIW, it reminds me of an escapement mechanism mechanical watches use.
"An escapement is a mechanical linkage in mechanical watches and clocks that gives impulses to the timekeeping element and periodically releases the gear train to move forward..."
Stories involving the process of being accepted for the Pebble Beach Concours or Mille Miglia seem apt.
Some car owners will present tomes of information about their cars, gushing about every last detail as to why they deserved to be part of a concours or historic race; these cars are often not...
I focused on this term: "features its new Modular Power Cylinder (MPC) Engine Architecture".
If I am correct, some references...

"Oh, and that MPC stands for Modular Power Cylinder, which refers to the combustion...
The base price of a 2022 Mach 1 in early 2022 was $55,000. Ford's web site currently lists a 2022 Mach 1 base price of $56,250.
It's difficult to see how a 2024 DH could be at least $6,250 cheaper. From inflation alone, the car should be more expensive still.
