I used additives in the 70's when oil was crap. It helped those "fantastic" bits of British engineering last a little longer. Never used them since. Oil technology has come a very long way.

It gets worse. Most of our roads are chip seal, about 10 - 15 years ago they got all eco friendly and started using a water based seal emulsion, now the roads melt at 25 C.

I usually just select custom, that turns off stop/start, sets sport exhaust and steering, then I just kill lane assist. Good to go.

Because of our low speed limits it's an instant licence loss if you're more than 40 over the 100kmh limit. Having ignored that, I had the Mustang up to 180 briefly and thought it was quite stable at that. I'd quite happily cruise at 160 to 180 or so for long periods.

There is a thing called the index. What annoys me about online anything is the menus, sub menus etc etc. and having to go back through them to find the next item you want. It's probably an age thing. I do have to admit that the searchable workshop manual for my bike was great. Online manuals...

I've found doing 150kmh+ can irritate some passengers, but they can always change their status and become walkers. Luckily my wife is cool with speed, 210 on the back of my bike and she was pretty ho hum about it.

I have a little movement at speed. I stopped once to check, and all was well, then I noticed the hood released warning light comes on when it's off the main catch.

I thought mine had used a litre in 300kms from new. But it was just Fords weird dipstick arrangement. No oil use since. Break in was my usual, moderate revs up to 4k till 800kms, then 6k till 1600. Moderate engine loading, up to around 3/4 throttle till 1000kms. Oil/filter change at 2000 kms.

Hands on the wheel was almost a deal breaker, but the dealer said Ford was working on a software fix, so I took a punt and bought the car. Then I discovered that lane assist off also disables the hands on warning, so I'm a happy camper.
