  1. Ford's not so bad

    I'm 72, so anyone under 60 is a kid.😊
  2. My Colours

The colours and display layout has started resetting itself sometime after I switch off. Colours go back to orange, the display goes to normal instead of track on start up. Anyone else struck this behaviour? Was/is there a fix?
  3. Ford's not so bad

It's what's known down here as a piss take. A joke. Of course I don't think it's a feature, but it should be.😁 The rest is true.
  4. Ford's not so bad

OK, explain exactly what you're confused about and I'll elaborate
  5. GTD Weight Revealed

I was thinking manuals with auto clutches like early BMW, Ferrari, etc
  6. GTD Weight Revealed

She's a bit of a chubster, but probably grateful for some hard rid....., driving. What's with the automated manual, is it not a dual clutch set up?
  7. Tire shop installed my staggered rims wrong

Apart from anything else, the car will be unbalanced on left to right transitions and vice versa. It'd be quite dangerous if you were driving hard. The fact there are two different sizes should have told the tyre muppet that the rims were probably different too. And, as far as I know, only the...
  8. Ford's not so bad

I'm sorry, I only speak and write English. Try Google translate.
  9. Supercharger pricing

So what would a GT performance pack cost with the supercharger added, $US55 - 60K? What else is around with 700odd hp for that kind of money? Sounds like a bargain.
  10. Ford's not so bad

I've just discovered a great feature Ford forgot to mention. The car makes right lane hogs move over. I kid you not. We did a return trip to Auckand last week, one of the few intercity roads with multiple lanes, and a 110kmh limit. I began to notice that as I started to close on a car ahead...
  11. Intake mods

That's what was said on the vid I watched
  12. Low engine oil pressure

You'd know by now. Bearing bongos.
  13. Full Tank Gauge never gives me the correct total miles to empty

I'm still coming to terms with fuel consumption. But my yearly mileage is low. I don't play golf or gamble, and my wife won't let me have a mistress, so this car is my hobby.
  14. New GT Mustang on the way super excited

    S So far, so sticky
  15. Full Tank Gauge never gives me the correct total miles to empty

I don't rely on gauges or computer readouts, I use the trip meter and reset at each fill. I also use the fuelio app which gives you a good idea of round town or open road consumption.
  16. Low engine oil pressure

I don't have a workshop manual so I'm not sure if the gauge and warning use the same sensor. If not, it's probably a warning sensor failure. Another point, for oil level to trigger a pressure warning on a stationary car, the level would have to be lower than the pick up. That's a lot of oil...
  17. New GT Mustang on the way super excited

The camera housing cover is a PIA. even being careful I broke one clip holder. Superglue seems to have fixed it.
  18. Intake mods

They did mention that, but didn't test it.
  19. Too Many Issues for a New Car?

Noises are hard to locate in a drivetrain, you need to get the vehicle in the air and hunt for them The best tool I used was a stethescope with a long probe screwed into the end. Putting that against the suspect area made the job much easier. A long screwdriver is almost as good, just hold the...
  20. Intake mods

When I was doing some research prior to buying the car I saw a YT vid showing the removal of the carbon traps. I forget who did this, but they dynoed ech step. So, the traps showed minimal gains for them. Highflow filters ditto. But running without the filter housing lids did show a reasonable...
