  1. Mustang Celebrates 61 Years as Top-Selling Global Sports Car

I think us Boomers have experienced the golden years of cars and driving. It's been a lot of fun and still is, but I think the analogue cars were the purest form of driving.
  2. 2024 Mustang GT Light Bluish Puff Of Smoke.

Another fairly sure indication of oil getting past valve stem seals is if the car emits a cloud of blue smoke after a period of overrun, such as throttle closed down a longish downhill stretch.
  3. Mustang Celebrates 61 Years as Top-Selling Global Sports Car

I was 12 when the first Mustang was released, little did I know that 60 years later I'd own one. And in a country where US V8's aren't very common. Life is full of surprises
  4. 2024 Mustang GT Light Bluish Puff Of Smoke.

I don't want to keep talking in circles on this. I'm speaking as a qualified mechanic, although most of my working life was off the tools except for my vehicles. Valve stem seals will not be worn in what is a barely broken in engine. It's quite likely that the barely noticeable puffs of smoke...
  5. 2024 Mustang GT Light Bluish Puff Of Smoke.

I'm saying that's probably what a dealer would say. If compression and leak down tests are within spec, and oil consumption is OK, what's a dealer supposed to do?
  6. 2024 Mustang GT Light Bluish Puff Of Smoke.

In my experience dealers will only investigate if oil consumption is excessive. And they'd certainly say to monitor it and put a couple of thousand miles on the car.
  7. Wheel arch liner hole in UK conditions

For the price of some 3mm black plastic sheet, silicone sealer and a few screws you can bend up some guards to cover the holes. It took me about an hour and it removes any fear of stone chipping or crap build up. I didn't want to risk leaving them open in our climate where we don't have salted...
  8. Looking to get some lowering springs for my car 24 GT Premium with PP (no magnaride)

I'm in New Zealand. Not ready to order stuff yet, but I'll be in touch. Thanks
  9. DarkHorse Broken?

I have no complaints about response. Having come from a turbo 2 litre with 7spd DSG the mustang feels lazier at low revs/speed, but is far quicker from 80-100 kmh up.
  10. GTD Weight Revealed

    10 wheel drive?😁
  11. S650 crash while running from police

I should have added as well, being in a major city, fire and ambulance were often there first or very soon after us. It was different for the rural guys though.
  12. S650 crash while running from police

I agree completely. As ex Traffic Enforcement, our primary job was dealing with the offender. We only had minimal first aid training in any case. Basically CPR and haemorrhage control. We used to patrol doubled up at night, single during the day but with lots of back up. So, unless the offender...
  13. Looking to get some lowering springs for my car 24 GT Premium with PP (no magnaride)

The PP wheels don't seem to show dust as much as the gloss black wheels on my last car. One problem though, is that I can't get my wheel brush between the caliper and the rim to scrub dust off the inside. So I'll have to remove the wheels a couple of times a year to clean the calipers etc. And...
  14. Looking to get some lowering springs for my car 24 GT Premium with PP (no magnaride)

Having already scraped the front splitter on kerbs, I don't think I'll be lowering it. But I might look at different or progressive rate springs. Or different shocks.
  15. Looking to get some lowering springs for my car 24 GT Premium with PP (no magnaride)

If you can find an alignment shop that does track set ups as well as street, and has good reviews, that's the way to go. I had my modded MX5 set up with custom specs by one and it transformed the handling.
  16. Turn off fancy light effects

I like them, it's like being greeted by a puppy.
  17. My Colours

No update shown. It seems to have settled, 2 starts and the display hasn't changed. I wouldn't mind if I didn't dislike orange.
  18. Ford's not so bad

Our cops run Skodas, so it's definitely not that.
