Exactly. We've had a case here where a screen was replaced with an aftermarket screen, the screen people couldn't calibrate the sensors, the dealer didn't want to know as it wasn't OEM, and the owner is caught between them. I'll try and avoid that BS.

It's brave to buy a car you've not driven, glad it worked out. I've noticed the heat emanating from the car when parked, I think the hood vent is partly the cause.

I vote for blower whine, beats blow off valves all day long. Add 50/50 water methanol injection to make it even louder.

I've used Ali Express for years. Bought a lot of bike bits and electronics, duds have been pretty rare. Generally quality is OK. Checking reviews helps, but isn't foolproof. I'd be cautious with safety critical stuff.
