I always use factory filters on new cars. For oil, I use Mobil One 5w/30 or Castrol Edge 5w/30LL. I'd use Motorcraft oil, but I think the dealer uses Havoline which I'm not keen on.

Paddle shifters require different muscle memory especially if you've been driving a manual. It takes a while to get used to them. A manual shift mode on the shifter would be a good idea.

I don't use sport mode much, but I discovered it will upshift at lower revs, it just delays a bit to make sure you haven't just backed off the throttle for a bit of engine braking.

I think it uses a similar protocol to my home inverter heat pump. It will maintain auto temp, but I can alter fan speed to keep noise low, or put it on auto fan. Our Skoda also has a fan speed setting for climate auto setting which keeps fan speed either low, med or high.

FWIW. My wifes car with DSG was an absolute dog when new. Weird shift points, holding gears way too long after kickdown, jerky engagement, etc. Dealer did a reset and it was transformed. Shifting perfectly, smooth as silk. It's not a Mustang, but it's worth trying.

If I could have two Mustangs, one would be a 6 speed, and not a daily driver. Traffic with a manual is just a PIA.

Yeah, that Sam is less than great. I'm not a big fan of Matt Watson though. He'll be more watchable (listenable?) when his balls drop. When he gets excited only dogs can hear him.

After the climate controls in my wife's car, the Mustang is excellent. Set it on auto, then you can make minor adjustments like fan speed, temp, seats, just on the screen, no menus. It also maintains temp better than any other car I've had.
