As far as the Brembos go, mine had a slight mushy feel at first, but after 2000kms or so that went away. They now have instant bite, great modulation.
It could be that the rotors need bedding in as well as the pads
A DCT would transform an S650. That and AWD can make a 300hp car as quick to 60 as the Mustang, or very damn close at least.
I wouldn't buy an AWD Mustang though.

Another thought, it's possible to have internal tyre faults like belt separation that does not show as out of balance or not running true. It's rare, but has happened.
Try and get the dealer to try another set of wheels of a car that runs smooth.
