yeah, i may be just a little bitter.
to be honest, i was mainly looking forward to the brakes, especially the carbon ceramics. maybe in a couple model years i'll fold over and compromise my stance and get an SC, if the colors are better and the i am able to afford it. or maybe i'll just retrofit...
you know what, i think the colors deserve more fitting names for the SC
Adriatic "sick at sea" Blue
Avalanche "remember the good times pls" Grey
Argon "shit, this wasn't as good of a seller on the super duty as we hoped so we're putting this on everything" Blue
Carbonized "depressing grey made...
yeah, maybe a 2028 or something, but i'm not holding my breath. Ford seems to have gotten so full of themselves and i'm getting less interested in funding their delusions
i'm out. i'm not interested in playing Ford's games here. i already deal with their nonsense enough at work. for a car starting at $103k, you have the wonderous color options of:
blue
grey
blue
grey
white
red
black
that's just depressing...
a new price list was released yesterday, the "645" one, and it has SC pricing
base price - $103,490
970A Equipment Group (track package) - $36,500
SC Gas Guzzler Tax - $3,000
Teal Accent Package - $3,000
Carbon Fiber Appearance Package - $10,000
Painted Stripes- $10,000
Track Package Special...
well, the order guides and price lists were updated yesterday, but the Dark Horse SC is nowhere to be seen in either, and parts are still not listed for it
an indicator is out. the vehicle does this hyperflashing pattern when it thinks that one of the indicators is malfunctioning by either pulling too much or too little current.
remember the engineering that goes into these, as well as materials. these have to withstand being heated to 1100F-1700F every day for years upon years, sometimes under lots of stress, and other times barely any, all while reducing the engine emissions to water vapor and CO2. three-way cats also...
so, that explains why i was so addicted to the copium. i didn't see that message, i actually can't. here's what i see when i look
nothing about the SC. guess they don't allow me to see messages like that for some reason
that's it, i'm off the copium. this is real and confirmed now. part of me...
Car and Driver also supposedly "confirmed" with Ford pricing, but it's different prices.
supposedly the basemodel is $108,485 and the track pack is $144,985, but no word on the track pack special edition. given these are different numbers being reported, i am even more suspicious now of what's true
i talked to my dealer's GSM and Inventory Manager. neither of them heard anything about any of this pricing. also thinking about it, "model = price" is definitely not a way Ford usually lists pricing, at least from what i have seen
i'm normally pretty critical of these automotive channels because sometimes their content is questionable, but props to Speed Phenom and especially StangMode for saying outright that these leaks aren't official prices. i mean, we don't know if this is a false leak or something being spread to...
yeah, HVBoM has the parts, but there's nothing anywhere else. at least you can select the 5.2 and 7-speed in ecat under vehicle options now, but there's nothing associated with them
not really even sure what to search, but looking up "dark horse" doesn't bring up anything about the SC at all. there's also still no workshop manual, wiring diagrams, or parts lists anywhere for anything SC related
