  1. How "cohesive" do the blue Recaro seats look?

I don't mind the combo. But I'm sort of attached to the vented seats in the GT now.
  2. Brakes - Antilock Braking System (ABS)

I had ABS activate twice. Once when I was a tad distracted driving a new "friend" to her beach house and nearly missed a corner. Braked and steered, all was well. The second time doing 150 something kmh and a stray farm dog ran out from the side of the road. Braked, steered around him and I hope...
  3. Wheel Spacers

Ford clearly uses hugely over engineered bearings.
  4. So Long and Thanks for All the Fish...

The only method of transport universally hated. even by other cyclists.
  5. Wheel Spacers

I'd be very interested to hear how the wheel bearing life goes.
  6. Flat tire at under 400 miles

Not even an inflator? Jeez, that's cheap.
  7. So Long and Thanks for All the Fish...

If you mean one with pedals...absolutely. But ones with real engines and other worldly acceleration, nope. I may not still ride, but I'll always know that sheer adrenaline buzz on a fast bike.
  8. So Long and Thanks for All the Fish...

That's sounds really harsh. But I guess labour laws differ around the world, they couldn't do that here. You sound like a decent level headed guy, you'll be fine. Remember, one door closes, another opens.
  9. Barely Drving Car in the Winter salt?

That's exactly what I learned in the trade. Luckily we don't need to store cars, but when we used long term parking on our last holiday, I had them start it every 2 weeks to get a charge in the battery. They did not use chargers.
  10. Status on known 2026 Mustang defects and issues....are any of these resolved yet?

If you think Fords is junk, try VAG. Our Skoda constantly tries to connect to my wife's phone even though it's 15 metres away and mine's in the car. It drops out at certain locations in town, the Ford is rock solid. And, every now and then hers decides we don't need to see the map, or anything...
  11. Status on known 2026 Mustang defects and issues....are any of these resolved yet?

I was concerned about quality and reliability when I first thought about a Mustang, but I took a punt on it and have been pleasantly surprised. It's been easier to live with in functional terms than the Euros I had. It's only been back to the dealer for the water leak recall. I no longer have...
  12. Flat tire at under 400 miles

At least they were repairable. Our GT86 had two Michelin Sports ruined, one had a boxcutter blade through the belts, the other had a plumbing fitting through the shoulder.
  13. U-DRAG RACE: 911 Carrera S vs. Supercharged Mustang Dark Horse

I think the Porch is rwd. But they manage traction very well.
  14. BMW M3 (E90) vs S650

No, but mine's quieter than the two other noisy sods in the street.
  15. Spots on leather from dealer pre-sell detail

The problem with that is, they will use the fact you went to a non dealer against you, if the problem gets worse. Are there no decent dealers near you?
  16. Am I crazy for buying a DH now?

    Ok, now I'm depressed.:frown: 😁
  17. U-DRAG RACE: 911 Carrera S vs. Supercharged Mustang Dark Horse

That's German efficiency for you. But, for me, the Ford wins on sound and, marginally, looks. I'd have the Porch and DHSC in a heartbeat.
  18. Am I crazy for buying a DH now?

If I had the SC money, that'd be a tough decision. But, as you say, you've made yours. You want a manual, and 500 ponies is enough. Spend the difference on road trips.
  19. BMW M3 (E90) vs S650

That's tough. Our cops ignore noise because all the usual suspects put a stock exhaust on, get a certificate of compliance from a testing station, then put the straight pipes back on and most of our cops are too lazy to question the certificates authenticity. Our house sounds like it's near an...
  20. BMW M3 (E90) vs S650

I had an AWD with launch and "only" 300hp. Launch was vicious and it would run my GT very close if not beat it to 100kmh. After that it would be eating dust. But, who can realistically use launch on public roads? It's noisy and attracts the wrong kind of attention, and will cancel launch if held...
