  1. HOW TO: Radar Detector Hard Wire Install with BlendMount

I couldn't do that. The V1 stopped the sunvisor from going back to the screen.
  2. Lane keep assist tried to end me

First thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers. Which reminds me. A bunch of lawyers were on a charter fishing trip. One hooks a big bluefin and gets it to the boat. Another one grabs the gaff and hooks the fish, there's blood everywhere and sharks are closing in. The Tuna lunges and drags the...
  3. Why doesn't Ford make the rotary transmission found in the Shelby GT 500 available to all Mustangs?

I think the VAG system is hard to beat. You have normal PRND, once in D you can pull back on the shifter to get trans auto sport mode, and move it sideways to get manual shifting by paddles or lever.
  4. Ford sets a record, but not one that you want!!

Recalls are a fact of life now. I'd rather have that than the old days of discovering production F ups yourself. I've had 3 in recent years, one in a "bullet proof" Toyota, 2 in "high quality" VAG products. If the water ingress recall is the only one I get with the Ford, I'll be very happy.
  5. HOW TO: Radar Detector Hard Wire Install with BlendMount

Gotcha. I normally mount detectors as high as poss. But under the mirror is the only practical place on the "Stang. It's usually easy to tuck power cords under the A pillar trim and edge of the headlining without disassembling stuff.
  6. One mod you love and wouldn't change. And one you kinda regret?

Mandatory? The ones you unfold and put inside the screen? Amazing.
  7. Compliance Recall 25C43

Not OZ, but painless over the ditch. Took a whole day.
  8. One mod you love and wouldn't change. And one you kinda regret?

One question, are windscreen shades not a thing in the States? They're super common here and in OZ.
  9. HOW TO: Radar Detector Hard Wire Install with BlendMount

That's a pain. But have you already got a 12v feed with an RJ plug up there?
  10. At what price does the Mustang start to make no sense?

Yes but, the GT350 is a Motorola Brick, an S650 is an I Phone. On your numbers that's a lot of tech and innovation for around $15k more.
  11. Need Owner Feedback...M2 or DH

I'm lucky with the Ford dealership. Sales are useless, not even a "how are you enjoying the car" in the first year. But service has been excellent. Car's ready when promised, work done well, reasonable cost and nice people.
  12. HOW TO: Radar Detector Hard Wire Install with BlendMount

I just went as carefully as I could, but it does require force. I did break one tab though. It might pay to price a new cover.
  13. Summer Wheel / Tire opinions

Have a look at the Pirelli P Zero PZ5's too. Rated very well on Tyre Reviews, a big leap ahead of the PZ4's Ford put on GT's.
  14. At what price does the Mustang start to make no sense?

I guess so, they do get the detuned version. Still, what's 50hp between friends? Still a bloody good car.
  15. At what price does the Mustang start to make no sense?

The car I was going to order, a Cupra Formentor VZ, is now $NZ110 specced how I want it, similar to Mustang GTPP spec. That's up from the $NZ80k I paid 4 years ago for my Cupra Ateca (same spec). A Formentor VZ5, basically an Audi RS3 in a different dress, will be around $NZ130K. That's how much...
  16. At what price does the Mustang start to make no sense?

Where was it imported from? We get the full fat Coyote in RHD.
  17. One mod you love and wouldn't change. And one you kinda regret?

No mods here yet. I'll probably do shocks and a stop the hop kit in time. I have fitted seat belt extenders, which work great. I also have front parking sensors, which would be great if they were installed properly, and I've fitted a front cam. And this is the first car I've done a mirror tap...
  18. Well, I pulled the trigger and ordered a 2026 GT. Wish me luck!

Exciting stuff, just in time for summer. Makes me wish we had one this year.
  19. How long to wait before waxing?

I prefer traditional washing, but I have used the waterless "wash" supplied by the Ceramic coating company that did our cars, and it does work well in getting dust and insect splat off. I'm pretty careful and haven't seen any swirls yet.
