It would be the modern GT350 replacement that people had been clamoring for, stickshift, high revving bespoke engine.
there would be an “R” variant for sure, even if it’s a different name, and that would be the exclusive one I bet.
Well… I’ve also heard about project blackbird, but no specifics, so that’s 2 i suppose, I was thinking a TTV6
I’d sell my car if this was 100% coming down the pike, I’m sure it would have an updated fascia etc..
In 2027? No way, we’d have official press releases by now… 2028, still highly speculative but possible i suppose.
I frigging love the idea… a high RPM 5.4 with a 3.8 whipple with BOSS track capable suspension would be a GTD killer…. Maybe even a ZR1 killer, for 100 and change all in.
As the DH/SC begins hitting the street this summer/fall I’d expect N/A dark horses to show up on the used market by the hundreds if not thousands… it’s time is over, people will want the supercharged 5.2, except the DCT whiners and 3 pedal army, but they’re already too slow to catch up
Awesome, they look pretty cool 👍, someone was saying something about 60-130 but I didn’t see the numbers, what’d it do?
I followed brenspeed do a few at launch and I think even cracked 9.9X but it’s been crickets since for a few years
I wouldn’t worry about the weight, I did rear cradle bushings and the locating dowels to tie in the rear IRS to the body, I also did a GT350 driver side half shaft, that’s the major weakness link.
and fwiw, get the cats off before there’s a problem. No cats and no warranty is a lot safer than...
OP, the gt500 and DHSC have a larger 2-3/4” cat piping with a stronger honeycomb design.
The OEM cats on the 5.2 are excellent as far as having to have them.
I don’t have a check engine light, I used autozone spark defoulers
And no, we don’t have any emissions testing in Mi.
if we did I’d be driving a Tesla plaid by next week.
Hey Jim, I haven’t ran nitrous in any of my newer mustangs, but used it quite a bit in the past
I think a 50-75 wet kit will be no problem, but I would at a minimum change the spark plugs to 1 range colder.
And if you’re gonna spray a small wet kit no tune make sure the octane is there, I’d try...
I’m stage 2, I would skip the stage 1 and go directly to stage 2.
And get the cats off EITHER WAY, immediately!
Throw the warranty in the garbage, a stage 2, catless is far less likely to experience failure than a stage 1 warranty WITH cats.
I was a fan of “GTD-lite” or GTD-S, something that classes it as street version GTD
super interesting the, dark horse boss was definitely floating around as a name, must not have tested well.
I love the idea of killing off the Shelby name, obviously they should’ve brought SVT back and named it...
