Just came back from dream cruise, I saw SOOO many new Shelby GT350s and Rs on the strip
They get so much hate in these forums, but I couldn’t believe how many new Shelby’s I saw, also Josh and Jase were cruising in the new DH SC vert.
@Upacurb
I leave traction control on, at low and mid level throttle input they hold perfectly fine, if I’m on the freeway and go WOT, say 60 or 70 they’ll spin, but the car pulls real hard, it will get squirrely up to 100 ish
I barely ever do that, when I put the slicks on it just flat out...
Car aside, Michigan is SO beautiful this time of year!
I can already see 20 years from now, convertibles suffer the same fate, everyone wants the coupe, they become tough to sell for the 2nd, 3rd owners and usually end up at quite a discount to market
Area dependent, I’m in SE Michigan, and it’s dream cruise week, there are probably more 13-1400HP cars on the street cruising here this weekend than anywhere else.
I know of several 2K HP plus vipers from Nth are usually in town.
That’s about the upper limits for us…. Low teens, the mid teen...
We usually see camouflage mules up to a full year or more before…
I don’t see a refresh happening by 2028… and 2029 is possible but too close to “2030” which screams ALL NEW 2030 MUSTANG
unless of course the camo mules start to pop up, I think they milk this design as the company is laser...
I put an even bigger resonator on to make my car more quiet.
Whispers now.
so my opinion is leave it there or go larger, nobody likes the annoying rasp echo
@Tacticly
Strong disagree, they can only build like “XX” engines a day and have to share with the raptor R as far as build capacity.
they will be extremely limited the entire run, probably less than 1,000/ year
ZR1s are still getting 100K adm and Xs are getting close to 200k ADM
Maybe used...
I custom ordered a 300A spec, 10r80, active exhaust and night pony.
car is amazingly well equipped, you’ll love the 3:55 N/A, I stayed 3:15 for boost
with night pony you get the badges, 19” black wheels, headlights… I think it’s worth it for the sick contrast
I don’t think the price is too steep, but I also don’t think it will be worth it.
I’d spend that money on headers or put it towards a whipple fund.
Dream cruise is next Saturday, I’m expecting to see a few M cars and maybe some lucky early deliveries, by September they’ll be in the public hands.
looking forward to hearing owner reviews
Met a new dark horse owner at a car show a few weeks ago, it was an ember, handling pack car.
around 70k I think he said, but anyway, it was GD beautiful, the smoothness of the color, the way it sits stock, factory rubber etc… they’re damn sweet looking cars!
He was loving it
The Z06 is slow, it’s pretty simple, they get off the line ok and fall on their face, can’t compete at all with the heavy hitter drivetrain predator/DCT
it’s like a flyweight vs a heavyweight boxer.
You can at least make the case for a ZR1 or an X, but the Z06 is stuck 2024, d.o.a. In today’s...
No I’m just referring to gt500s as a comp for the DHSC, although gen2 GT350s and Rs also held value incredibly well.
boss, Mach and Dh are always just “fancy parts bin GTs”
Even though they are a lot better
I will say while i was looking I found a few 13-14 Boss Laguna secas” for around 40k...
What you’re noticing is the miracle of variable cam timing in these newer engines it’s not like you were running a static profile.
You don’t really have to worry about lugging like you do with like an old high lift solid roller set up. At low RPM the intake cams will advance and help Bring the...
I went looking up older halo cars, 20-22 500s are still selling for roughly MSRP or higher, 13/14s are still selling for over MSRP.
depreciation is not a factor on halo cars.
