  1. Gas Mileage Comparison

No difference noted between 95 and 98 here. That's your 91 and 93
  2. CLEAR AIR BOX LIDS

OK. As in when the engine shuts down, some unburned fuel vapour passes through open valves back into the intake system? And if I never use start/stop they're not needed. Seems like a lot of effort to do SFA.
  3. Rev Matching. Yes or no?

As I said to another poster, all the driver needs to do is match revs to road speed, heel and toeing does that on downshifts. The synchros are there to match actual gear speeds. What double declutching does is trade insignificant syncho wear with double the work on the throw out bearing and...
  4. Rev Matching. Yes or no?

OK. But it's not necessary. Heel and toeing with extra revs for skipping gears does the job and the synchro cones take car of minor gear speed differences.
  5. Clutch Protection - Do our GT's have it?

OK. I think you are letting the revs fall too much, and the noise is the engine being brought up to the correct revs.
  6. CLEAR AIR BOX LIDS

So, speaking as a dummy, what are the traps really for, and why remove them? I've heard removal has no benefit.
  7. Rev Matching. Yes or no?

Why would you double declutch on a synchro 'box?
  8. MY24.50 Australian Mustang S650 Reviews

I heard some LHD GTD's were going to OZ, for non road use.
  9. Clutch Protection - Do our GT's have it?

Can you define "release"? Are you saying engaging or disengaging the clutch?
  10. Expected gain when tuning a stock manual GT?

Try 450 odd against my US spec 486hp GT.
  11. Door card rattle - FIXED

It's door card in the UK. Damned if I know why. Maybe from 50's English cars which were part cardboard. And I'm not kidding.
  12. Driver side door rattle

Fairy firm foam (closed cell) and double sided tape is your friend when it comes to body rattles
  13. Ford & Toyota Are Betting the Farm on the SAME Desperate HAIL MARY

When I see this stuff I always ask, who are they, what are their qualifications, who profits? I remember how the Japanese were going to destroy western car makers in the 60's.
  14. Expected gain when tuning a stock manual GT?

Gone are the days when I could get 15 - 20hp increase on my Suzuki Bandit with just a can and a rejet.
  15. NITTO 555 R2 TIRE PSI

I know nothing about strip settings. But for fast road driving/riding I check pressure rise from cold when the tyres have had about a 1/2 hour vigorous running, I look for around 5 psi rise.
  16. Bad Navigation

My only hope is that the buggers get bored to death.
  17. Dark Horse SC in Richmond VA at Richmond Ford West $176,000 ($71k in options)

Maybe, but I wouldn't touch a used performance car. Unless I knew the owner.
  18. Bad Navigation

I didn't renew Ford Nav. Waze does the job, but I'm sure Google is more accurate.
