  1. Please explain Forscan to an idiot

When you're in the motor trade you do meet a lot of idiots. They pay to come to you as supplicants begging you to fix what they just f**ked. i believe it's much worse since the dawn of the internet.
  2. Hood flex normal?

I adjusted the stops which helped on mine. It still wobbles little on bumpy roads, but at least there's a warning light if it slips onto the safety catch.
  3. Big vs. Small Dealerships

Our last three cars were from a franchise holder/distributor that started selling the Cupra/SEAT brand . They were great, but became a little less great as they got more popular and well known. The sales team were always excellent, but service side started to try some of their typical dodges on us.
  4. Transmission coolant line interference

Had something similar on my wife's car. A factory misrouted turbo coolant hose that finally wore through on the accessory belt. Luckily it waited until after our 1000km trip moving north.
  5. Quiet start

It was a piss take, a joke. Nothing aggressive whatsoever. Lighten up a little.
  6. Riding the clutch

VW flat 4 engine out? 20 minutes max. We loved them, and Fiat 500's. You could damn near do in and out quicker than doing plugs in a modern car.
  7. Riding the clutch

Riding the clutch usually refers to holding the car on a hill with the clutch. Or, elderly, deaf drivers who rev it till they can hear it, then slooowly engage the clutch. The original CV trans. We had one old lady who got a new clutch every year. Slipping in a traffic queue as described...
  8. Quiet start

The problem is that your car does not exist, and will not for 8 years. I'd try again then👍
  9. New Release: S650 Dark Horse SC-Style Front Bumper Kit for 2024+ Mustang

I'm in two minds about it. I'd have to see one on a GT without the guards and hood shown in the image.
  10. How to change brake rotors and pads?

Bedding in is also a must. I was told 4 or 5 hard stops from 100kmh (or more if there's no cops around) I noticed on the Mustang that initial bite and modulation improved out of sight once properly bedded.
  11. How to change brake rotors and pads?

Are you a Tech, or a very learned DIY'er? This is golden.
  12. How to change brake rotors and pads?

Good idea. I remove the pads and spray a dose of brakecleen around the pistons etc before retracting them.
  13. Got an allocation for the GTD

His money, his choice. Enjoy it while we still can.
  14. Default Drive Mode

It seems to be so on mine
  15. What did you do to your S650 Mustang today?? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Fitted a different front cam to see if I prefer it, and cleaned the air filters. For some reason they get really mucky, worse than previous cars. I wonder if it's because the intakes are closer to the road surface on the Ford?
  16. Default Drive Mode

It's a couple of presses of the mode button to get in custom mode, I don't find that too onerous, and I hit the lane assist at the same time = nanny free.
  17. ECU Remap question

This sounds a lot like all the "1000hp" cars that struggle to beat stock cars over the 1/4. Nearly 20% gain with just a tune?
  18. Got an allocation for the GTD

    2nd is the first loser
  19. Driving Score on Infotainment Screen

I wish I'd gone straight from 1 to 3. Would have saved a lot of aggravation and money.
  20. Oil analysis from Blackstone

I think getting an analysis done can be a good idea. I wouldn't do it on a regular basis, like truckies do though. Detecting fuel dilution early is one example. Also, if you find high levels of bearing material, it might save engine goes boom.
