I've updated the test drive list to be a lot more concise than it was originally. The next question to address is...should I put my S650 GT impressions in that first post as well (I've test driven one with the Performance Pack and three without it but with different square tire/wheel sizes)?
Of course. It's just my idea of spirited driving is going 5 mph over the speed limit and taking curves more aggressively than at daily driving pace (and not necessarily at the same time).
I'm okay now that I've gotten some rest from yesterday. Thank you again for your patience with me.
Yesterday's personal scare aside, I learned from another thread that the 3.15 gearing suits my style of driving (city and highway) better than the 3.55. From test drive experience coming from a...
Thanks. I'll admit I got "one-guy"-ed (letting the one negative comment get to me amidst the multiple posts with positive/helpful feedback---but to be fair Zengineer had good points too), and now I'm just trying to make sure the rest of my posts don't have any incriminating information about my...
@10basscat: I read @Stratman397's "How many are regretting" thread. Are you referring to me replying to everyone in multiple posts, posting my thoughts in multiple threads, or potentially sharing too much personal info about myself?
If I'm not mistaken though, somehow your credit isn't affected (too much) if you trade in your financed vehicle, get more than what's left to pay, and then use that as part of the down payment towards a new vehicle? Is that even a thing? And if that is the case, why is it that way?
As always, good to know. Thank you for your response. At this point what I'm looking for is quite specific, so I'm likely not going to be able to advantage of 10-15% off GTs any time soon. My must haves at minimum are 301A, active exhaust, mini-spare, Oxford White, and Space Grey Interior. And...
My next and hopefully last question regarding these discounts is "How can I determine if a specific dealership is likely to offer 10+% off their vehicles?" Or is this usually only during the end of the month or during certain holiday periods?
I keep forgetting XPlan exists and that I could get by joining the Mustang Club of America (I think that's what it's called) 6-12 months before buying a GT. I still need to do that.
Why does N.VA/MD do such large discounts? (I've never seen them in UT.)
I just thought if you finance a vehicle and owe more than you've paid off, it'd be a bad idea to trade in for a newer vehicle since you'd just be racking up debt and thus tank credit. That's my (severely limited) understanding of it anyway. Admittedly I have zero idea as to how all of that works.
