  1. Ford promises to build manual V8 Mustangs until they're illegal

Thanks for the heads-up. I know next to nothing about engine design despite having a computer game that focuses a lot on that and car design in general.
  2. WHICH ONE WOULD YOU CHOOSE ?

Maybe it has to do with the steering weight? S650 feels a lot lighter when turning the wheel compared to the S550.

Yesterday I test drove a 2020 Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack. I walked away from it very impressed. Not enough to buy that specific example, but it definitely got me thinking about considering buying a new one. The handling in Sport Mode felt accurate, a little lighter than the Camaro/CT5 and a...
  4. "Mach 4" 4-Door Mustang + Off-Road Baja Mustang models previewed at Ford dealers meeting!

I test drove a used Charger Scat Pack today. Surprisingly I was very impressed with its finesse at city speeds considering how big it is. It almost made me rethink considering either a new one or an R/T trim. The only "weakness" I could find is that it was rather touchy on throttle, even in...
  5. WHICH ONE WOULD YOU CHOOSE ?

Um, actually the EcoBoost is the best way to go...🤓 Nothing like opening up the active exhaust and infuriating everyone because "THAT'S NOT A V8 IT SOUNDS LIKE AN ANGRY CIVIC LAWN MOWER I HATE IT!" 😝 (...I'd go with the GT350 as well, if only because something equivalent hasn't come out for the...
  6. "Mach 4" 4-Door Mustang + Off-Road Baja Mustang models previewed at Ford dealers meeting!

Name aside, I think if Ford sold a naturally aspirated V8 sports sedan at $50K for the top trim it would sell well without cannibalizing sales from the GT/Premium.
  7. Ford promises to build manual V8 Mustangs until they're illegal

You know what I'd really like to see? Ford making a smaller naturally aspirated V8 that puts out 240-360 HP (so it doesn't cannibalize from the Coyote's sales), can fit in a smaller car (think Cayman/Boxster to the 911), has good throttle response at low RPMs for daily driving at minimum, and...
  8. I don't get the Dark Horse vs GT

It's a handsome sedan and I'd definitely take it for a test drive if I could, but sadly it's outside my budget of what I'm willing to spend for a new car.
  9. I don't get the Dark Horse vs GT

I'm not sure what you mean by this. 😅 Are you implying that I should or should not test drive a 3- or 4-series?
  10. I don't get the Dark Horse vs GT

Apparently I'm jelly then 🍇. I'll just say I prefer the ride quality of the standard GT/Premium over those with the Performance Pack (even with Magneride).

The Hornet is a rebadged uglier Alfa Romeo Tonale. Fair point on debt. I'm not in a rush right now to get a new car. If anything it means more opportunities for me to test drive more cars of interest (outside of exotics for obvious reasons).

Assuming you're not being sarcastic... https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/mach-4-4-door-mustang-off-road-baja-mustang-models-previewed-at-ford-dealers-meeting.162290/post-3294838 At the moment I might be waiting longer than planned for a change in vehicle. Until then I'll be sticking...
  13. BoostRabbitGT test drives Mustangs and other cars in this thread.

Thanks for reading my takes! If they ask, I'll usually tell salespeople I'm a ways out from buying a vehicle and that I'm just trying to get a feel for what exactly I'm looking for in a future car. (I think I've got it just about figured out, but there's a few other cars that haven't come out...
  14. Space Age Manual Transmission

Man, this thread has me flip-flopping between whether to go automatic or manual for my next vehicle...😖 If Auto Rev Matching is what gets me excited to learn manual before going all the way without any training nannies...consider me an auto enthusiast who just might consider converting into a...
  15. BoostRabbitGT test drives Mustangs and other cars in this thread.

Oh no, BoostRabbit test drove some more vehicles... Yesterday I got behind the wheel of a 2021 Mustang Mach 1. As with the S650 GT with Magneride, I had zero idea on how to reach the configuration of that feature (if there is a custom toggle for Magneride settings, I never found it). Aside from...
  16. Space Age Manual Transmission

I remember test driving a S550 Bullitt a few years back and stalling quite a bit before I ended up having the salesperson drive back to the dealership. Not a pleasant experience. It sounds like Auto Rev Match could help me out considerably if I were to start daily driving a future GT with a...
  17. Why would you do that? - A thread

...I imagine this is the question that comes up for 99% of the people here whenever I post something...😅
  18. If you're not getting a Mustang now, what are you doing until then?

Between playing Forza Horizon 5 and Forza Motorsport (2023), I've been thinking about what my next vehicle will be after the EcoBoost I currently drive. I've test driven many vehicles and documented most of my experiences in this forum. The GT is currently at the top of my list of cars to...
  19. BoostRabbitGT test drives Mustangs and other cars in this thread.

A quick report for a change of pace today (hopefully). I test drove a '21 Audi S5 Sport back, which on paper has what I'm looking for in a future daily driver. On the road, however, aside from the V6 note when accelerating full throttle to the highway, pretty disappointing. Steering was lighter...
