  1. Has the GT also fake exhaust sound?

(shrugs) Generated or not, I like how the current GT sounds.
  2. New ZR1 hit 233mph

...all this talk about unobtanium cars really makes me wish the AMG GT55/63 weren't unobtanium cars. AWD V8 2+2 Grand Tourer? Heck Yes Please!
  3. New ZR1 hit 233mph

Lately I feel like Ford or Farley is trying to make the Mustang a 911-killer, at least with the GTD. Am I mistaken in that regard? (Man, imagine if Mustangs could be customized like Porsches or Aston Martins...or like the 1960s Mustangs...goodbye đź’¸!)
  4. "Mach 4" 4-Door Mustang + Off-Road Baja Mustang models previewed at Ford dealers meeting!

Good to know. I'm considering a GT in a year or two. That, an AWD RC350, or a C300 4MATIC.
  5. "Mach 4" 4-Door Mustang + Off-Road Baja Mustang models previewed at Ford dealers meeting!

Interesting. Personally I found the Performance Pack/Magneride too stiff/firm for my liking as far as ride quality goes, somehow I prefer the stock damping. However, I've read that for strictly daily driving there isn't much difference between the 3.15 and 3.55 gearing. Is the Torsen different...
  6. "Mach 4" 4-Door Mustang + Off-Road Baja Mustang models previewed at Ford dealers meeting!

For now I'll be keeping my EcoBoost. I'm not in a rush to get into something new or different right away as often as I talk about it.
  7. "Mach 4" 4-Door Mustang + Off-Road Baja Mustang models previewed at Ford dealers meeting!

Sorry for bumping this again, but with another thread talking about a future 4-door performance sedan from Ford, I figured it'd be best to catalog my recent thoughts in the proper thread. We've discussed the likely engine options for the Mach-4 before. I think if this car gets...
  8. Ford is done making boring cars

I'm assuming these are non-premium standard transmission GTs? Where exactly are you seeing them?
  9. Some info about Ford

I wouldn't either. I think it'd be cool if they had demo vehicles for performance-oriented models, but I can also imagine how expensive that would be for the dealership...not to mention dealing with more enthusiastic test drivers than myself.
  10. Some info about Ford

So the only way I'll be able to test such vehicles will be to wait a while until they become used or CPO, and even then there's a chance the dealer will be picky with them. That's fine. Thanks again as always for the info!
  11. Some info about Ford

Not sure if this question can be answered here or if this constitutes a new thread. I understand for more expensive, less commonly stocked vehicles, test drives are kept to a minimum. Has anyone heard of signing a contract prior to test driving such a vehicle? (Examples include the GR Corolla...
  12. So why does my S650 GT not handle as well as my S550 GT?

My guess would be that the S550 has a heavier steering weight feel than the S650. For me that translates to feeling more engaged heading into and out of turns with the S550, even though I technically feel more confident with the S650's lighter weighted steering (less feedback from the road, but...
  13. Some info about Ford

How does one factor state tax when selling or trading in their car? Where I'm at it's 7%, if I were to get $20-25K for my EcoBoost, how much would I actually get from selling/trading it in?
  14. The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack is the next-generation, all-electric version of the Dodge Charger, and is expected to be the world's quickest

I brought up the Robovan earlier, but imagine a production-spec Ford Supervan 4/4.2 Electric... Potential Pacifica/Odyssey killer right there!
  15. The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack is the next-generation, all-electric version of the Dodge Charger, and is expected to be the world's quickest

So I'll likely catch a lot of flack for this, but from a purely design perspective I love how the Robovan looks. Yes, I know it won't get over bumps larger than a pimple. However, compared to everything else I've seen from Tesla save for the vaporware Roadster, I think it's the best looking...
  16. Some info about Ford

@roket Thank you so much for your perspective as a service worker for Ford. I do have a question though...when you say "as long as you avoid the salesperson that are in the showroom", are you referring to the salespeople that aren't at their desks or kiosks and are almost always either standing...
  17. The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack is the next-generation, all-electric version of the Dodge Charger, and is expected to be the world's quickest

Ooh, the E39 M5 and the W210/W211 E55 were my childhood favorite performance sedans! At this point I can only see myself owning a GT/Mach-4 or an AWD RC350. Everything else I'd have to lease first. Thanks for the well wishes in my search, I'll need all the luck I can get!
  18. The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack is the next-generation, all-electric version of the Dodge Charger, and is expected to be the world's quickest

I like the front and back of the new Charger, but the side profile just doesn't look right at all. The four door looks a little better proportion wise, I think. Hopefully the Sixpack cuts down the weight by a sizable amount?
  19. Leasing/Financing/Trade-ins/Credit

Thank you again for the information.
  20. Leasing/Financing/Trade-ins/Credit

If So if I understand right, if someone buys your financed car for the remainder of your loan balance (more or less) and gives you cash or a check, then you would just pay back whoever lent you the loan in full hopefully? As for the lease, I do understand one option to get out of the lease but...
