OK we don't get that cat here so didn't realise it had changed so much. Which one came first? Honda looks good!
  2. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

Look at Japan to see what happens in negative inflation - it took 25 years to get out of it. Depressed economy, FALLING wages etc. Yes the 'basket of goods' changes to reflect changes in buying habits - but nothing to do with 'believing' the figures.

Erm the SUV's do, but the non SUV's don't. MG Cyberster, Porsche Taycan, BMW i5. They just look like the cars from the segment they are in. The reason a lot of EV's are SUV's is that is where the biggest sales are.

Except your maths is wrong! 33 to 44 and 121 to 167 are not the same percentage increase!
  5. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

Eh? It looks nothing like a Honda Accord? The rear end is very similar to the S550. Seriously looks are not an issue, it is clearly a Mustang.

Achieving around 2% for long periods is possible, indeed the US has managed it before and recently. Anywhere from 1% to 3% is fine. You cannot correct for spikes with 0% or less as this is catastrophic. I'm afraid spikes are bad news and the impact always remains, you then get pressure on wages...
  7. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

I was responding to the words in your post about people not be able to cope with 480PS
  8. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

Says somebody who has clearly never driven and clung on to an EV that wants to leave your internal organs on the back seat! Get real, EV's with instant torque will destroy almost any ICE car in a straight line. Tesla Model 3 Performance 0-60 2.9 seconds as an example, plenty more EV's like that...
  9. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

To be fair US wages have exceeded inflation with the exception of a couple of years and are currently above inflation again now. Whilst you cannot ignore previous high inflation it cannot be changed (and certainly you don't want negative inflation to get you back to where you were) and you can...
  10. 2020 GT battery replacement

This is the S650 forum so you would be better asking on the S550 forum. Having said that just replace like with like (but be careful with the physical size). AGM is overkill on the S550 and needs a different charging pattern. Don't forget to reset the BMS after you have changed it.
  11. Recirculating Air Reset, CarPlay

I pressed 'auto' on day 1, set the temperature and have never touched it since. Did the same on my S550, never touched the climate control in 6 years.

I much prefer the screens to the old setup
  13. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

The cheapest 911 is ÂŁ100k now so completely different category
  14. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

Maybe because it is 44k cars out of 2 million in the US. It's a drip never mind a drop in the ocean!
  15. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

Well maybe, but not all assets rise in an economic downturn. property prices fall or stagnate, stock investments fall in value - not all roses I can assure you. Good news is I am invested in the US markets and the strong economy and stock value growth have meant a great return for me.
  16. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

OK so how do you define 'well'. What economic targets such as inflation, GDP growth etc would make you happy?
  17. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

Less of course, because of inflation to the prices. However you have also had salary increases to offset that. That will ALWAYS be the case unless inflation is zero (or negative). I say again however look at Japan - it has taken 20 years + to escape from negative inflation and negative interest...
  18. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

It is far from clear cut that inflation helps wealthy people - it depends entirely on how your wealth is invested? It certainly helps people with borrowings as the capital value deflates relative to their earnings, assuming earnings inflate with the cost of living.
  19. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

That is what you said which makes little sense. The rate of inflation and inflation are both lower now than they were because they are the same thing. I think I know what you actually mean but your first post was not clear.
