The old D2C platform used by the Mustang is completely unsuitable for an EV. Far more likely is they will use the new 'small EV' platform already in development for an EV Mustang and leave the ICE version to run on with the D2C with possibly one more facelift.

Globally 4 door cars are far from dead. Hence why Ford sell the Mondeo / Fusion in China and the Middle East. German market is still very strong for 4 door / estate cars hence BMW/Merc/Audi offerings
It certainly can. Here is an example of what a 2030 Mustang could be, as in not all EV's are dull SUV's.

Interesting figures. I got £32.5k for my 2019GT with 30k miles against a new S650GT for just under £60k. So my old car cost be £48k-£32.5k (£16k) in depreciation over 6 years and it cost £27.5k to change to the new one. Obviously Mustangs here are rare and hold their value very well.

In Ford's defense, the current Mustang's price is in line with those from 30 years ago, accounting for inflation. A 1995 Mustang GT coupe with standard equipment started around $21,500. That equals approximately $46,000 today, a bit less than the 2025 Mustang GT's...
