My manual (on USB drive) has data errors... new one was supposed to arrive Friday... but extreme flooding in the area has delayed most shipping carriers. If no one else posts up, I will check when new manual shows up.

Yes, once a defect such as this is found, procedures are changed to prevent it in the future. Though in actuality the percentage with actual defect is small, but they need to check them all.
All the Ford literature, website, order guide all list the ESE as being on the car... further checks of asbuilt data confirms it... why is it so hard to believe?
I have some of the "just stick on" ones, and actually have only clipped them on there.... wasn't sure about them so didn't stick em, but so far have not even come off without using the tape. When they do (or if), then I will likely tape them.
Bezel comes out the top... just need trim removal tools. Lots of members have swapped that out for the manual (unmarked) bezel when swapping the auto shift knob.
Your tuner will likely need to disable misfire detection during the "fire" mode or something similar. The setup is certainly causing a "misfire" as far as the computer is concerned.
I got the full kit with the pipes. It appears that if I want the pipes later, it would require a full pull apart again, and I didn't want that. You also probably need to have their pipes to see the full claimed hp/tq improvement. Haven't had time to install it yet though. Hoping the bumper is no...
You might try to contact the manufacturer... I noticed you said the electronic box on the light (LDCM) was replaced with the light, which could explain the issue... the auto high beam signal may be carried over the canbus network to the LDCM's, which have now been replaced and may not have...
