I like the interior, minus the console, the door panels, and the old looking recaros.
unbelievable that they just plain kept so many s550 pieces and had the gall to declare it all new.
I get that some folks prefer less in order to feel the vibrations of the road, sense the flex of the chassis, maybe willing to work a little harder to feel more involved in what the car is doing. Many prefer that. I. E. Some prefer the âworkâ of pushing a gt350 vs being pulled along for the ride...
theâcheapâ sporty cats usually have the most âenthusiasticâ buyers, no?
a lot of folks on M6G talking up fiesta st and focus rs too.
same story, different day.
You had a lot of Honda civic ex buyers super enthusiastic about their car years ago as well. Pep boys made a bundle off of âem.
as...
itâs about different financial strata. And not all college kids buy their own cars, though many do after discovering the âfree moneyâ (sarcasm) that is a new car loan. But many have rich parents that will purchase the âlow rentâ M for their kids with no sense. I should have figured a mustang...
agreed, but that M2, if it actually is production intent, simply is bad design that doesnât have a theme to flow with. Itâs problem is not that itâs boxy. The isdue is that itâs just ugly and looks like it doesnât know what itâs trying to accomplish. Sad to see from such a special brand.
The only thing that truly bothers me about the 650 is that Ford changed the rear quarter panel, but purposely kept the s550 rear quarter window shape. All they had to do was change that snd the whole thing would look new. Instead that one element makes it look s550 plus.
seems like it was...
seriously, itâs the bottom level. Itâs just enough so that if youâre in college and want to be cool by having âmâ on it, you can because itâs easily attainable. But itâs nothing special. At all.
for bmw, itâs the sporty version of the fiesta.
apples and oranges.
The Mustang is Fords icon.
the M2 is BMWs bottom of the barrel car.
itâs like an svt fiesta.
even so⊠dang. Whoever thought that was a good idea may be a candidate for an aesthetic sensibility transplant.
no idea whatâs going on with the rear. Maybe going for the baby...
interesting. Itâs a mashup of s650 GT (sides), 2018 GT (headlights), and 2020 gt500 (fascia). But itâs messed up by shrouding the headlights at the sides and removing the black from the bumper, killing the illusion of a large negative space, which is what made the current gt500 fascia work.
I...
Iâm they had plenty of grille blocked off. Could have opened it more if needed. But they didnât. The new ecoboost has more open grille.
the best thing done on the gt500 and new GT is to add the hood extractor to pull out hot, turbulent air.
if youâre talking about the vertical unique vents by...
I'm reading between the lines and following historical precedent.
you look at the â93 Cobra. It had a cleaner design than the GT. Same with the Terminators. When the GT500 succeeded the Cobra, it was pretty integrated and clean as well. The Boss looked a little more ârowdyâ but it the design...
Nah. It wonât look anything like that.
thatâs an easy render for motor trend. The GT500 or Cobra will have a distinct front and possibly change the sides a bit.
It was a design choice for dark horse. They did it differently for the GT.
could easily have used the whole fascia or designed thedark horse grill to be attractive and not an aftermarket inspired pig nostrils setup.
itâs bad design.
I can think of why they did it. But I think they misread...
Itâs a very Mercedes/BMW interior.
and the digital thing is exploding. Ford doesnât really have the option to not embrace it. From what Iâve seen so far, theyâve nailed it perfectly. I actually like it better than my â22 Z4 M40i interior dash - and I love that dash.
I do agree that there is...
