If you want to upgrade the handling, I installed the steeda stop the hop kit + progressive springs and the car looks great & handles much better. Totally worth it.
Hi,
Same feedback regarding the AT10 coming from an A5.
The car is great but the shifting in the AT10, it’s just weird, specially the downshifting.
I did some research and it seems the Lund Tuning fixes that, but I haven’t gotten around to getting it yet.
Here’s a useful video on the topic:
In normal cruising I use normal mode.
I spirited driving I use sport, but always put the AT10 in manual mode as I find the downshifting WAY to too unpredictable, specially when driving in curvy roads.
Manual mode works great though.
Heard some people raving about Lund 93 tune , anyone has...
Try driving in a highway, enter a blind curve and you realize there is a slower car in front of you so you have to release the throttle a bit.
In my experience, when in Sport mode the car will downshift abruptly, causing a “kick” in the back.
I had other sport cars in the past, this didn’t...
I’m not an engineer but it would seem that there is something missing in the software where if the car is turning fast with a high g the downshifts should be different than when in a straight line.
Could someone who did a software tune of the AT10 tell us if it solves this issue? Thanks.
I’m not a track guy so this comment is honestly asking for advice.
I like the AT10, as it’s quick enough and does simplify life while driving in traffic, etc.
However, my only complaint is the « kick in the back » when the gearbox downshifts at high speeds in high g curves, particularly in sport...
My wife has a dual clutch A5, and I must say that I don’t notice a big difference in speed. However, her gearbox seems “smarter “, it know better when to shift than the Mustang. Particularly in sport mode. So I just use the paddles when not driving in heavy traffic.
Also, the downshifting in the...
Add a 4WD mild-hybrid version (like the 4 Series and the CLE) and the car may sell better. It improves the launching, the handling, fuel economy and solves the winter driving issue that keeps some people from considering the Mustang.
Still love my 650 though!
I kept my 24 GT PP MR near stock but I did add progressive springs and the Steeda cradle upgrades.
It really transformed the handling: to someone who drives in fast curvy roads it’s totally worth it, highly recommend it.
Up to know now complains, no NVH etc.
Spend 40$ in front camber adjustment bolts, another couple of hundreds in an performance alignment to decrease the front camber to ~-1.5 /-1.7 and you get the same steering feel of the BH in a GT PP. For me only the tremic is a real game changer (but I drive an automatic… so I got the GT :))
Quick update, the repair shop checked for:
. Loose or missed reconnection
. Damaged or stressed hose
. Pump mounting
None of it were the issue.
They are taking the car to a Ford dealership to see if they can find what the issue is…
Thanks but I had no noise before, has to be linked to the upgrades. Car is at the repair shop unfortunately can’t make a video of the sound now (but will if they can’t fix it).
Starting again…. Just installed at a local reputable garage a set of Steeda products, including front g-trac braces, rear irs alignment kit, IRS branches and lowering progressive springs.
When I went to pick up the car I noticed a noise when I pressed the break pedal. Comes from the front with...
