I did one track day in my non PP S550. Temps were in the high 80s. In the 3rd session I experienced some brake fade. I had upgraded to PP Brembos but was running street pads. My cylinder head temps were over 240 but didn't get quite high enough for limits or limp mode.
The S650s do seem to have...
Thanks! The offsets of the wheels allow them to sit more flush with the fender, which was an improvement even before the spring install. The magneride springs only lower 0.8 inches, so it's not a huge difference but it is noticeable.
I had Steeda camber plates installed at the same time. Might...
Yeah, they're on the heavy side for flow formed. My 19x10 are 26.6 pounds vs. 24.2 for the Steeda Tridents I had on my '19. Still a good bit lighter than 32.5 pounds for narrower PP wheels, though.
It does look lower in front but still looks good. I was concerned that the dual rates would be too stiff for everyday street driving but it sounds like they aren't.
Tire width by itself doesn't contribute to ride height, but a wider tire will be taller than a narrower one with the same aspect...
Interesting the dual rate ultimate handling springs lower the S650 1.3 inches in front but not as much for other Mustangs. How much stiffer is the ride with those springs compared to stock?
I recently got new 19x10 wheels all around on my PP car. I went with Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02 in 275/40. I chose that size primarily because the rear is the same size as the stock PP so the speedometer didn't change, and the taller profile fills the wheel well better. However the...
Shortly after having these springs installed and getting an alignment I drove the car from DFW, TX to Eureka Springs, AR for a Ford event. We hit plenty of twisty roads on the way up and in other drives in the area.
I'm very pleased with the springs. Overall, the ride is close to stock. I...
Chrome is a little bright for me. Here's pics of my white S550 with charcoal gray and "titanium" wheels. I like your color scheme. :) Did you add the stripes?
Looks great! I really like the Wimbledon White color and the interior of the 60th Anniversary cars. I wish they had offered a version with the performance package.
Sounds like a great drive. Last year we came up through Colorado on our way to the Sturgis Mustang Rally. We hit million dollar highway, drove along the blue mesa reservoir, went through cottonwood pass (must have driven along the taylor river to get there), and took the peak to peak scenic...
With my '26 GT, Ford offers something called Ford Connectivity that requires a subscription. Besides navigation, it makes your vehicle a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 10 devices and allows you to use streaming apps without your phone. I didn't subscribe to it.
Before I installed the H pipe I found myself using sport and track mode almost all the time. After the H pipe I alternate between normal and sport mode most of the time. Track mode is for when I'm in the mood to be loudest. It seems pretty loud until I'm around the guys with long tube headers on...
