I get the logic but there are plenty of us happy with the H or X pipe with the stock active exhaust who won't go beyond that step.
With the non active exhaust, you left out the step many are taking to replace or cut their diffuser to accommodate quad tips. I agree with getting a good axle back...
I think it's worth the money because the quad tips look better and because the active exhaust sounds good with a resonator delete X or H pipe, a fairly inexpensive mod. With S550s the non active exhaust doesn't sound as good with an H or X pipe, so many owners change out the whole catback. I'm...
GTD replicas from Factory Reproductions. 19x10 +35 offset square. Tires are Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02, 275/40. (I'll probably go with 285/35 next time.)
Car is lowered on Steeda Magneride Sport Progressive springs. It's about a 0.8 inch drop.
Another factor is the tall gear ratios of the manual transmission itself. In the S550 the ratios changed with the 2018 refresh and I understand they're the same in the S650. In the 15-17 GTs the 1/1 ratio is 5th and the only overdrive gear is 6th. In the 2018+ 4th is 1/1 and both 5th and 6th are...
My wife rode in the back seat of my S550 one time about 5-6 years ago. We picked up her brother who was visiting our area on business. She is 5'5" and said seat comfort and head room were better than she expected. BUT her brother (who is 5'9") had to move the seat up a lot to give her enough leg...
If I was in your situation I would wait and do a few more track days to learn better how the car behaves before doing any more mods. Right now you probably have a lot of room for improvement with the car as is. The goal should be to reach a point where you can recognize what seems lacking. For...
I had the ECS 02 on my S550 and they gripped and handled very well. My new '26 did come with pzero summer tires. They weren't as bad as I expected, especially for handling, but it was easier to break loose pulling out from a parking lot onto a road with some throttle, etc. I don't do many hard...
Thanks. I was a bit concerned since I couldn't find pics of them on a car before ordering, but I'm happy with them. I waited a few weeks to buy the tires, too.
I ended up getting 19x10 on all four with Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02 tires. I think 19x11 would look better in back but I...
My recollection from discussions on the Mustang6g site is that the active dampers (Steeda or Koni) were good with stock springs when ride comfort is the top priority. Reviewers preferred the Steeda Pro Action, Ford Performance Track, and Bilstein B6 for handling.
The BMR cradle lockout kit worked well to take some of the slop out of the rear on my S550, so I installed it on the new car as well. I have stock magneride on my '26 vs Bilstein B6 on my S550. The new car definitely has a more refined ride, so if it handles as well or better in spirited driving...
