  1. Shelby American shows off GT350 and GT350R at Barret Jackon - well kind of

They had already done this with the S550 and S650 Super Snakes. But calling these new ones the GT350 and GT350R is more egregious because of what Ford did with those nameplates.
  2. Shelby American shows off GT350 and GT350R at Barret Jackon - well kind of

Shelby must love that there are people out there who actually believe this.
  3. Shelby American shows off GT350 and GT350R at Barret Jackon - well kind of

Better than modifying a GT and having a car that's worse than a Dark Horse. I think a blower, body kit, seats, exhaust, etc. on a Dark Horse would at least have some appeal, even though I'm sure it would be vastly overpriced like everything else they do.
  4. Shelby American shows off GT350 and GT350R at Barret Jackon - well kind of

It likely means Ford wouldn't let Shelby American take a Dark Horse, slap on some bolt ons, and call it a Shelby. It's too bad, though. That's what SA did with the S197 Super Snakes. Started with a GT500 from Ford, modified it, and. called it the Shelby GT500 Super Snake. A Shelby Super Dark...
  5. Shelby American shows off GT350 and GT350R at Barret Jackon - well kind of

Because allowing Ford to create Shelby GT500s and GT350s under license produced cars with more meaningful performance upgrades and raised customer expectations of what those models should be. Going back to SA modifying GTs and calling them "GT350s" is a step backwards.
  6. Boss Mustang S650 Maybe Coming Soon (via January 2025 Trademark Filing)

Not really. The Mach 1 and Dark Horse are much more track focused with additional cooling for the engine, transmission, and differential, as well as the handling packages. The Bullitt had none of that. I wonder if people wanted the Mach 1 to be a Bullitt in different colors with a shaker hood...
  7. Boss Mustang S650 Maybe Coming Soon (via January 2025 Trademark Filing)

Since the Mustang name has continued uninterrupted to the present, younger generations know what a Mustang is, even if only S550 and newer. Mach 1, Bullitt, and Boss are primarily associated with the 60s and early 70s, which is a long long time ago. When the S650 was introduced, fox body gauges...
  8. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

I totally agree. I'm more in support of expanding mass transit than self driving. If the people who don't want to drive are off the f-ing road, the driving environment for enthusiasts will be better and safer.
  9. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

I agree it's silly to say the S650 shape overall is a rip off of the Camaro, but those hips look just like the 6th Gen Camaro, lol. Design improvement? Exterior styling is mostly subjective. I think the bottom line is if Ford had released something more radically new and fresh in terms of the...
  10. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

I don't think it's feasible to have a platform used for both gas and electric vehicles. EVs are just too different, starting with the location of the batteries. I think there's some merit to this, although I think it would be more marketable as a little "hot hatch" than a coupe. I don't think...
  11. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

A Mustang sedan would probably not outsell the coupe right off the bat, but if it eventually did so be it. A four door V8 Mustang is better than no Mustang.
  12. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

Bingo! Look at the buzz Chevrolet created with the C8. Customers notice when companies add value to the product. Another example is the Hyundai Elantra N. It's better than anything else at its price point. I used to be against this, but I believe adding practicality is a key to appealing to the...
  13. How hard would it be to engineer a Front-mid engine mustang?

I agree! And a Dark Horse just seems like poor value in comparison. I don't think that's Ford's plan (it never has been), but I think some kind of new and improved chassis for the S650 was warranted to make it a better value.
  14. How hard would it be to engineer a Front-mid engine mustang?

Agree, but I feel like the price of a Dark Horse is too close to a C8, a car GM obviously invested in heavily.
  15. Official ATLAS BLUE Mustang S650 Thread

Looking at those pics I agree with you.
  16. Official ATLAS BLUE Mustang S650 Thread

If any of you have an Atlas Blue with the bronze package and bronze wheels I'd love to see some pics!
  17. 1 set of UHP All Seasons OR summers + winters?

Either way can work depending on how you use the car. If you're going to occasionally do track days, autocross, highly spirited twisty road driving, etc., go with separate summer/winter setups. Otherwise, the UHP all seasons like the Michelin you mentioned (which come standard on C8 Vettes)...
  18. New Wheel Help!...Will Offset and Spacers Work?

Generally +40 offset in that size should fit front and rear, although+35 imo looks better being more flush. Not sure why these are rear only, unless there's something about the wheel shape that won't clear the non PP brakes. I would consider these from LMR, which are designed to fit front and...
  19. Hagerty Review: 2024 Mustang Really Is a Dark Horse — Review & Documentary feat. BMW M4 — by Jason Cammisa

Savagegeese is definitely not for the instant gratification crowd. They both have a pretty good sense of humor, though, but Mark can get a little too negative.
  20. Wow I am BACK and truly BLOWN AWAY how nice the new GT is!!!!!

I get the impression the boosted drag racers I know prefer the 6r80 to the 10r80. The 10r80 apparently breaks more easily.
