Everything in their stop the hop catalog fits the Dark Horse except the longer vertical links, so a kit with those links would technically be incompatible.
It's safe to go WOT after ensuring the coolant system is air free and the belt is tensioned properly.
Relevant steps from the manual:
155. Cycle the ignition to the ON position again and repeat until the sound of the electric pump is continuous without pulsation and the fluid level is...
I can't speak to the capabilities of playing music off a USB drive, but I use Sync 4 in 2 vehicles and the delay/lag is unpredictable. Sometimes it'll react to a track change or a menu touch in a second, sometimes it takes 5, and sometimes it'll simply freeze, crash, and reboot. It needs a...
I don't disagree with you though one could argue we're more interested in 0-60 than 1/4 mile, but your point does not invalidate mine. Boss 302, GT350, Mach 1, Dark Horse d.o.a or not, all year feature cars have been marketed and sold as the "most trackable Mustang yet". They're specifically...
Pardon me, guys. When was the Dark Horse marketed as a Dragster? All this talk about piggy 1/4 mile times is kind of short of the point of the car, don't ya think? :D
Yeah, jacking rails are a real good first choice. I don't know how much clearance the GT has compared to my Dark Horse HP, but my low profile extended reach Daytona jack was useless everywhere except the factory pinch lift points. The rails make it much simpler: jack up the car from the center...
S24 Ultra here. I don't think I've gone a single day without having to reset my APIM to get SYNC and/or Android Auto working. It is my only real complaint about this car. To make it even more annoying, you also lose your backup camera lines after an APIM reset until the next start. Ford really...
Had another day of autocross yesterday. I'm getting better at it but definitely far from the car's limits. Here's a vid of my best run: Middle of the pack and 5 seconds slower than the leader but still puts a smile on my face! 😄
I checked mine for ya. No surging, but my idle fluctuates between 780 and 820 when the throttle is closed. I do find that engine braking has been reduced a bit. Revs don't fall as quickly as before.
I find great satisfaction in knowing my ride is modified the way I want it because I did the work. This was a good opportunity to become more familiar with everything under the hood on this generation. Here's my thoughts on my install.
I took my time and my Whipple install took me about 15...
Whipple install completed! I owe the thread my thoughts about the install but that'll come another day after I get time to sit down and think it out.
