OP, they are supposed to be there for all handling pack cars. IIRC, they ship in the trunk along with the front splitter and are installed by the dealer. Your dealer should tell Ford that they’re missing and get a new pair shipped out.
Are there any plans to make some different hood designs? I'm not a fan of the way the stock hood vent is just tacked on, and I prefer a look where the vents are better integrated into the design. Something more along the lines of the Type SA hood you guys have for the 2015 Mustang.
I wasn't sure which subform to post this in since it's both a video and versus the competition, so I'll post it here and let the mods move it to the appropriate place.
The link to the video is here.
Is there quite literally no room at all, or is it that the market for people that want a strut tower brace and also have a Whipple is too small to justify making one?
How about showing the correct redline for manual transmission cars? The fact that they released incorrect is ridiculous to begin with, especially when we're talking about a digital cluster--it's not like they needed a separate part to put in the gauge cluster.
I agree with you—if I end up getting a DH, I’ll be removing the decals as well. I tend to like a cleaner look in general. However, with that said, there are some stripes and decals I do like, but the DH decals just look dumb to me.
American Muscle has a YouTube video going over some of the Mustangs at SEMA, and Ford Performance had a matte carbon DH style wing on a car, and Anderson Composites had a gloss DH wing on a car, so it sounds like you'll have some choices.
The price does seem like it's gone up significantly over the last several years, and we all know why. My 2015 GT PP was loaded and I think it stickered for 41K. Now, a loaded GT is basically 50% more. I have to remind myself that that car was 9 model years old though.
Sure, there are plenty...
Where did you see that they raised the redline? I don’t know how much faith I place in Ford to do this correctly considering they can’t even mark the redline properly in manual transmission cars…
Don't get me wrong--I like the Dark Horse too and I'll probably end up picking one up at some point. I was just trying to point out why some people don't feel it's that special, and it's hard to argue that it's as special as a GT350 when that car got a totally different engine.
There was a lot of talk about the Mach 1 not being that special as well. I can see where some of it comes from: the car it somewhat replaced--the GT350--had an engine that was unique to that model, so when the Mach 1 debuted and it had a slightly worked 5.0, it didn't seem nearly as special...
It 100% is! I have a friend that ordered a Model S Plaid—from his phone, no less—and took delivery of his car less than a month later. He scheduled a delivery time at the dealership from his phone, showed up, signed three papers, and was out the door! In some states you can sign the paperwork...
The front splitter is different on the PP versus the base, but it’s more subtle than on the S550. On the S650 PP the splitter sticks out slightly farther at the ends than the base car does. I don’t know about the undertray, however.
Especially when you're talking about a non-handling pack car. It's basically a GT PP with a measly 14 more hp, additional coolers for the trans and diff, and in the case of this car, a Tremec instead of the Getrag. For 88K? I think I'll pass, Jerry...
At least the Mach 1 got a different...
I know the Mustang is "new," but let's be real--the majority of the car is carryover from the S550. It shouldn't be this difficult to build them. Why is it that my buddy can order a Tesla Model S Plaid--from his phone, no less--and delivery is 4 weeks or less, but Ford makes you wade through...
