Considering you can't really tune the cars yet, the only thing that's going to get you any more power is a Whipple or Roush blower. You can do headers, but I'm not sure you'd notice the difference besides the sound. Cold air intakes are a waste on these cars if you're buying them for power.
Those seats are part of the Dark Horse Appearance Package, which also gets "Notorious Blue" brake calipers, a black roof, and a slightly different hood graphic.
Do a nationwide search for a 24 and see if there’s one that matches your spec. You’ll likely get more of a discount off the car and you can get enclosed transport for about half of the $4,000 price difference between the 24 and 25 MSRP.
EDIT: After posting I realized that the last time I used...
Power output of the GTD is pretty much right in line with what everyone should have expected, given the engine configuration. What I am interested in is the weight. How much of the underpinnings are actually shared with the S650? The GTD doesn't appear to be built around a carbon monocoque or...
The high volume Corvette dealers in this country all sell at MSRP. You can get on a list today and get a ZR1, if you are so inclined. You'll have to wait, but you'll get a car. They're not going to be a limited production car in the sense that they will cap production below demand.
Yeah, there's a HUGE difference between the ZR1 and the GTD in this regard. Everyone that can afford a ZR1 and wants one will eventually get one. That is absolutely NOT going to be the case with the GTD.
I'm not going to say you'll NEVER see one at a track, but I tend to side with young at heart on this one. I don't think many will see the track simply because of how limited the car is. It's the same reason you may see an F8 at the track, but not an F50. The risk is simply too high and the...
The problem is that—much like the newest Ford GT—if you aren’t one of Ford’s chosen ones, you’re likely to pay a HEFTY premium on the secondary market.
I agree with a lot of what you're saying, but my point of contention is that the recent price increases may lead to the audience just getting smaller, which only compounds the problem. Ford clearly didn't make the 7G a priority considering it's basically a reskinned S550--and that's a shame for...
Yep, the price creep on the GT and DH is real, and putting them in line with some arguably better cars. I posted in another thread about the price of the Mustang increasing more rapidly than inflation, the new car market as a whole, and some of its competitors. People on here will make excuses...
