Personal opinion here... This is a much-overlooked feature. In my past manual vehicles, the cruise control deactivated when I would hit the clutch pedal. This is NOT the case in the S650. I was messing around and to my surprise, down-shifting and up-shifting worked fine with the ACC.
Maybe there will be more/better incentives for Mustang buyers sooner rather than later? 😅
In 2017, I bought an brand new 2017 Ford F-150 that came with $10,000 off MSRP incentive compared to only getting between $500-$1000 off of my Mustang's MSRP a few months back.
I wouldn't necessarily say it's a downgrade, but more of an upcharge (aside from the automatic not being an extra charge) for some options that were originally considered standard and then an upcharge in general for the other packages (i.e. Bronze Package, brake caliper colors, etc.).
I think...
Grabber Blue Brembos are no longer an option. I didn't even know about this option originally, but glad mine came optioned with it.
I 'tried' to build the same spec and the price went up about $6,000. Or $5,000 if you put aside the $1,000 gas guzzler tax that I paid, since mine was built...
Heat and slow charging is a given with wireless charging. Anyone expecting their phone to charge with the same characteristics as using the USB/Lightning cable need to understand how wireless charging works and the pros and cons of it.
I myself quit using it because I have a case on my phone...
@Chuck319, I'm experiencing similar wear on my driver seat and I don't wear anything abrasive that I can think of that would cause this issue. I have the 401A with Carmine Red Leather-Trimmed.
This is mainly geared towards Apple CarPlay. I have recently encountered audio issues (no audio comes through even though the App on the phone is playing) with CarPlay. Switching the phone from CarPlay to Bluetooth Media and back to CarPlay seems to resolve the audio issue.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro here. With or without the case and streaming Pandora, the phone gets very hot. It has not shut off yet, but it has gotten so hot that the phone was very laggy.
Keep in mind, wireless charing in general generates a lot of heat.
So... with all that being said... if the vehicle starts rusting out in this area, Ford should cover it under warranty, correct? Possibly reliving the era where Toyota Tacomas were notorious for rusting frames back in the day?
Sorry for the clarity and maybe it's not a thing. But in the manual, I, personally, consider No Lift Shift (NLS) as an aggressive gear change and harsh clutch disengage/engagements. I know automatics are different from manuals, but when, I guess, drag racing with a 10R80 transmission, you're...
Not sure it was clear, but what I was wondering is if there was any comparison between the aggressive gear change using No Lift Shift in the MT-82 and the 10R80 shifting through all the gears aggressively when going WOT. Hopefully that makes sense.
That would probably not be a bad idea. Right...
I can confirm that the GTs with the MT-82 do have No Lift Shift. There is no off/on button for it. I can also confirm that it works from 1-2, 2-3, 3-4.
I would also warn to be careful if you are No Lift Shifting from 3rd to 4th. It's stupidly easy to accidentally go from 3rd to 2nd instead of...
