Calls himself a manual guy and gets an auto Mustang. Surprised you didn't just keep your Chevy. Just saying.
Ultimately, sounds more like everyone's mileage will vary. My father had a 2016 7-speed manual C7 and says the 6-speed manual in my Mustang is way better and he's been daily driving...
For the record, my 2017 Ford F-150 had a 10-speed auto, and found it mediocre after driving a manual all my life since I got my driver's license at 16. Granted, this was the first generation/application (to the best of my knowledge)... but after 6 years of ownership and 80,000+ miles (bought the...
Personal opinion incoming: That may be the case, but for daily driving (read: not track/drag use), it's fine. If the transmission was that problematic, there would be multiple TSBs and Ford would not have bothered offering it in the S650 generation.
Trust me... I've experienced a few 'bad'...
I got a manual because that is what the car came with when I saw it on the lot.
My wife can't drive a manual, but she also does not care to drive my car, so no loss there.
Getting stuck in traffic does suck, but so do taxes.
Physically, I'm 'old'. Mentally, I'm still a kid, so I like to lower...
Are you guys tracking your cars on the weekends? I have almost 10,000 miles and my tires still easily have another 5,000 miles. And I daily drive mine.
I daily drive my Mustang. I've driven a manual for over 15+ years. Every vehicle from when I got my driver's license to the present day has been a manual (minus the 2017 Ford F-150... no manual option of course). Of course, they are no longer the fastest, but anyone in 2024 should already know...
It's a bug in the software. Mine does this as well. Just gotta wait for more software updates that will hopefully resolve this and some other quirks in the driver's HUD.
To not go off topic... open the valves (i.e. put it in track mode) and just unplug the valves on the muffler or find the fuse. Once again, I'd be surprised if there was that much difference in that 1 second that the valve closes and then reopens.
I was messing around with the modes the other day and realized that (and this is my personal opinion) Sport mode has the best/instant throttle response. If your vehicle is in 'Normal' mode, that's probably why it feels the way it feels for the OP. What kills me though is that I have Magneride...
Watching the video, Quiet Mode would not work like that. It would not close for a second and re-open.
My guess is that this behavior is normal for the Active Exhaust. I also don't see how that flap can make that big of a difference for the 1 second that it closes and re-opens. As others have...
My strakes were in the trunk as well. I didn't realize it at first and thought it was something else and almost threw them away. I ended up installing them myself a few months later. Easy install for the most part. Don't even need to jack the vehicle up.
My only regret is buying it within the first few hours of seeing it. I had no idea about the different plans (i.e. X-Plan, A-Z, etc.), as well as, I didn't look around at nearby dealerships to see if I could get a better deal (although I DID NOT pay any dealer markups, but also, got less than...
You would know if you paid the gas guzzler tax. It's on the Window Sticker. It would be under the Optional Equipment/Other -> *** GAS GUZZLER TAX *** $1,000
That is a new one. I understood that the setting resets every time you cycle the vehicle. If you can permanently disable it without needing a special tool, they would defeat the purpose. I could see the EPA saying that it is insufficient, and therefore, continuing to charge the extra $1,000 gas...
For additional clarity, the speakers behind the back seat are considered tweeters and woofers... so that's how B&O and/or Ford got '12' speakers. See attachment.
Nice... I noticed a few weeks ago that my brake pedal makes noises too (although, this does affect the overall braking performance of the vehicle). However, it does not sound like it deals with the EBB... I'll have to take a closer look next time.
Yeah, I have the same issues... and have been from day one.
Settings that don't stick:
- My Color options on gauges or ambient lightning
- Shift Points
- Trip 2 MPG and MPH resets every ignition. The only thing that saves is the distance and time driving for Trip 2. In addition, if I disable...
Apologies. I was referring to the LED strip itself. I do not recall seeing it under Ford Accessories. Then again, I could have just as easily overlooked it.
