  1. ECG-24.2.5.6.2 Update

CAN was designed by a team led by the Bosch researchers Siegfried Dais and Uwe Kiencke. But I've never seen it referred to as 'Chassis Area Network' in any of thier published specifications.
  2. Patched My Fender Well Holes - DIY Instructions & Photos

Recalls are safety related. Have you not owned a new car before?
  3. Patched My Fender Well Holes - DIY Instructions & Photos

Exactly. Too many whiny people who think the world owes them.
  4. Patched My Fender Well Holes - DIY Instructions & Photos

See above. Already answered. I'm not posting it again every time someone starts a new thread.
  5. Patched My Fender Well Holes - DIY Instructions & Photos

No, it's not. I spoke with the engineers and posted about it in the other thread.
  6. Installed NOCO Gen 5 battery maintainer

The direct mount 2A version is installed on many of my vehicles. That way, no matter where you are, all you need is a standard electric cord to charge - no need to have the charger portion with you (it's installed on the vehicle). And 2A is plenty for maintaining and half the price.
  7. 2 Cracked Windshields in 6 months of ownership!

    Yet an often accurate assumption.
  8. Do you think it's better to change your oil while the car is still hot or are you better off letting the car sit for a day?

Warm oil. Dab of oil around the gasket. Prefilling the filter can't hurt - I've always done it as long as the filter can stay upright during the install.
  9. Gears not showing

Yup. Already documented here. Not going to do it again. Search. 😀
  10. How dark do you tint your Mustangs?

Got a cite for a single case where this actually happened?
  11. How dark do you tint your Mustangs?

Nobody asked about laws. We can look those up. 😉 50% front 35% driver & passenger 5% rear quarters and back window
  12. Oil Reports

I didn't asking what the Blackstone reports said. I have been getting those for decades. I asked for the citation that proves Ford does not put 5W30 in at the factory.
  13. 2024 Mustang FORScan List / Database / Spreadsheet (by Livinitup)

Yes, I was the one who confirmed all that long ago. Unless you want to break out FORScan again ... don't do this. :like:
  14. Chipped Windshield

So does Safelite -- it's guaranteed. I do most everything myself so I know it's done right - have done so for the better part of ~40 years. But I've also learned that there are things you don't have to do yourself and the outcome is no different than if you had. Again, no sense in doing it...
  15. 2024 Mustang FORScan List / Database / Spreadsheet (by Livinitup)

They can always do anything they want, but the fact that they did NOT enable it to begin with would lead me to believe they probably won't. Beyond that, if you read what I wrote, something else is missing. Once WAL is displayed, you can disable it on the screen, but if you try to re-enable it...
  16. Chipped Windshield

No reason to do the repair yourself unless your insurance doesn't cover chip repair at zero cost. Call Safelite and let them do it. In fact, they're coming out to my work Monday to fill a small chip on my F150.
  17. Buying off the showroom floor

Two points: 1. I bought a brand new 2016 Corvette Z06 off the showroom floor. It was smack dab right in the middle of the showroom floor. $100K. But it was the exact car I wanted. 2. Is your friend married and, if so, was she a virgin? If three dozen people had sat in my Mustang before...
