This is a nice tow hook that fits the S650 Dark Horse (sorry, not sure about GT) and is in two pieces, one is the part that screws into the car, the other is the hook, which does articulate. You could also use it as a front plate holder I suppose.

AFAIK the pedestrian/collision avoidance works off of the camera, not sensors. It also does not function at parking lot speeds, which is likely what you were at when you hit the wall.
If your car has the settings, then you have the feature.
