For real, @Newface, thank you for the updates!
Yeah I agree of the pondering of quality issues, but maybe this is a really good thing? Hoping this is a positive sign that quality really is job 1.
At the end of the day whether or not this website or S650 GT's thread about panel gaps made a difference I do agree that the gaps on the pre-production units is awful. I am thankful that Ford is taking the time to get it right. I am without a build date currently, but I'm good with extra time to...
Nice rims! Those look great! My Mustang will be a fair weather weekend car so my only challenge will be the brake dust which washes away relatively easily. Will see how much I hate cleaning them in a few months.
I agree they do look like a pain to keep clean, especially while breaking in new brakes (all the dust!), but I actually love the way they look. The whole PP was enough for me to want it on my order between the wheels (bronze for me), the rear wing, and the capability to throw the car into some...
Maybe it's just me, but it seems like Toyota is trying to make their trucks uglier and uglier.
That thing is hideous! Why are they painting the A and B pillars black? It just looks "off" to me.
My only complaint is I wish the stitching on the steering wheel was red and not space grey. A little disappointing. Good video, though. Thank you for sharing.
Aircraft have redundant systems in case one fails. Will the brake by wire system also have redundancies? I admit I'm okay with electronic systems, but there is a warm and fuzzy feeling knowing I can mash the mechanical brake linkage and know I'm going to stop. A redundant back up system if all...
What is this harvest bronze interior? I've seen it mentioned a few times, but no pics nor is it in the order guide. I went with carmine red and will likely stay with it, but since I ordered the bronze package I wonder if this would be a nice accent with the rapid red? Does anyone have pics of...
Y'all gotta stop while we are ahead about the panel gaps or this thread will end up getting shut down, too. Let's drop it before it gets heated in here so that we can have a discussion without the back and forth banter.
Pretty exciting that the S650 is rolling off the line at Flat Rock...
Maybe so. I'm more of a realist than anything, but my overly optimistic view, in your opinion, has to beat reading the back and forth that was on this thread. Anyway, here's to optimistic hoping that the panel gaps will at least be livable.
According to that attachment from Skye the Coyote already has forged rods? So, why then, make a big deal of the forged rods from the 350 in marketing? I'm looking forward to this conversation.
Not all rods are forged. Many are cast. I don't know exactly what process is used for the Coyote in the GT, but I believe they are cast as well. The casting process is cheaper, but the result is a rod that will fail under power adders like nitrous, superchargers and turbochargers if enough boost...
I hear what everyone is saying on this thread and I do agree that for the money the alignment of body and interior panels should be good if not very good. I also get that in the end these are mass produced vehicles, and let's not forget all we have seen are pre-production models. CEO Jim...
Just got a text back from my dealer. He states we should have price protection. So glad I ordered when I did. If you haven't put an order in yet I would get down there today and lock your price in.
