Just passed 4 years of the 3-day "special military operation". Putin said it's not a war. 😀 I'm impressed that you were able to import a few Mustangs into Russia.
We had our Mustang out this afternoon shopping and went to dinner. It started snowing during dinner, but it wasn't sticking to the roads yet. Since it's my wife's daily driver, it won't be put away for storage, just won't go out after it snows until the roads are plowed. :)
My wife bought a Ford Probe after we got married. We took some vacations in it, and even fit a Christmas tree in it 1 year. Beautiful blue color, fun to drive car, probably her favorite car until she got the Mustang.
I had enough money saved up that I could've paid cash for our Mustang. Since I got a decent rate, I decided to invest that money as it'll make more money than I'll pay in interest. The tax deduction is icing on the cake. :)
Our 1st payment wasn't until January, so we just missed the cut-off. Luckily, this means I'll have a full year of car payments in 2026 when I file my taxes next year. :)
We drive our cars/vans year-round and they look just fine. Our previous minivan was a 2008 and my GTO is a 2005 and they had/have barely any rust on them. Body panels were perfect and the underside was just about as good. I think it helps that they stay in the garage and mine stays in a...
Since we were both off yesterday, wife and I went to an outlets mall about an hour away. Took some backroads on the way with the Mustang in Sport Mode, which made it even more fun. Wife knows I like driving her car. :)
I'm doing the same thing with my GTO, fitting 18X9 wheels all around with about 15mm spacer at the front and possibly none at the rear. GTOs had plenty of clearance at the rear to the inside with an 18X8 and can have some to the outside if the fender lips are rolled. I installed coilovers for...
That's like trying to repair a "popcorn" ceiling in a house, maybe even harder. Our previous house had that crap and I had to make a repair where the roof leaked and weakened/darkened the ceiling. I used regular drywall and then used the mud to make the popcorn on it with a wooden dowel, just...
I took our oldest son (24 y.o.) out for a spin in my wife's Mustang yesterday evening as he hasn't had a chance to ride in it. No way I'm letting him drive it, not even my GTO. :) He knows I know how to drive a car hard, so I showed him what it could do. He really enjoyed the ride. 😀
Ours is identically equipped except we didn't get the radio upgrade and ours is Adriatic Blue. My wife picked the colors, same wheels as yours, and options.
Congratulations! So far, there are only 3 Adriatic Blues on the forum: me, you, and MidwayJ. Mine took 4 months to build and another several days to deliver, but that was during the plant shutdown.
Why didn't you swerve out of the way? .5 seconds is enough time for a Mustang driver!:wink: I had a chunk of road debris smash in the grill of my GTO a few years ago. I didn't even see if bounce up and hit it, but heard it happen and saw the damage when I got home. Pictures of smashed...
I tried to fit 2 wheels, each in a box, in the trunk and could only fit 1 box. Each box was 20X20X10 with an 18X8 wheel for my GTO. I had to borrow my daughter's little SUV to take them to UPS. The trunk does hold a lot of groceries and other packages though.
We almost bought an EV instead of the Mustang, if only I hadn't rented a convertible on vacation and my wife decided she had to have one. :) I told her if we lived further north and got a lot more snow, we could still get her the EV as well since it's AWD and could be her daily driver except on...
