The waiting will drive you insane. :) The status will change one day before you know it. Ours took 1 week from built to shipped and another week or so from shipped to delivered.
I bought a cargo net from the Ford website using our Ford Pass points and installed it the other day. Perfect for holding groceries in the trunk instead of them sliding around.
I think of the Dark Horse as the 1LE option on the Camaro: upgrades for the race track that also work good on the street. 1LE Camaros didn't have any more power (even on the ZL1), but plenty of brake and suspension upgrades and more coolers.
I used to track my '87 Camaro years ago. It had a built 355 with about 400 hp and a Canton oil pan but no oil cooler. I only ran Mobil 1 synthetic oil and had a digital oil temperature gauge on the A-pillar gauge pod, along with a trans temp gauge. During a 20-minute session, oil rarely...
I wouldn't wait. We ordered our 2026 as soon as we were able to, and still didn't get it until the day before Thanksgiving, although 2 months of the delay was due to the plant stoppage. Spring is only a couple months away.
I changed the oil on our new Mustang yesterday, as it had just over 1000 miles on it. 10 quarts of Mobil 1 synthetic and oil filter ran $73, as I got two 5-quart jugs at Walmart and the filter at AutoZone (Walmart didn't have any of the correct filters). Removing the underbody panel was...
We took our kids on numerous road trips in our minivan, covering 33 states plus Ontario. We traveled mostly on interstates, but I enjoyed taking the US routes at times, like Rt. 20 through Iowa and Illinois. My wife and I plan to take more road trips to see the rest of the states, even if we...
Yep, she sure is. Our 30th anniversary is this June. She's had 3 cars and 3 minivans since I've known her (35 years), and now has a Mustang. Meanwhile, I've had a '55 Chevy my parents gave me when I graduated college (and spent a lot of money having rusted body parts replaced and then sold)...
Our payment is almost double that, but I only put $5k down and financed for only 4 years at 4.99%. I could've paid it in full, but I decided to invest the money and make more money. :) Our previous minivan we bought new in 2009, we got 0% interest for 4 years, but it only cost half the amount...
Very similar to ours, except ours is a convertible with the automatic. Ours took 4 1/2 months from order to delivery, but there was a 2-month factory shutdown during that time.
Our key fobs are in the "mud room" right next to the garage, but they don't wake up the car until we walk into the garage. Maybe it's the metal fire-rated door or just enough distance.
My wife only test-drove a GT and fell in love with the sound. I felt she'd be fine with the Ecoboost as it has more power than she's ever had in a car/minivan. I've only owned V8 RWD cars so I was pleasantly surprised that she insisted on ordering the GT. :)
My current oil drain pan I've used for 30 years or so only has a 7 quart capacity. Since I plan on changing the oil and doing all of the other maintenance on my wife's new Mustang, I need to buy a larger drain pan. Mine has a wide yellow funnel that screws onto the opening where the cap is, so...
