Nice. The OP mentioned his dealer didn't know the cause. After reading this, I have to wonder if their is some dealer ineptitude making repairs worse than they should be.
What others have said it spot on. The computer is calculating your miles to empty based on your driving.
I have seen my miles to empty recalculate and even increase if I primarily do city driving, and then take a cross town drive on the freeway. My guess is the computer is looking at the last...
For sure. I've owned a M1 Tremec. It's like any other manual on the freeway.
But the OP was asking about drive modes with the A10. Having driven both, I wouldn't say one is faster in a downshift. It's just a difference how many gears the A10 drops and what mode you're in.
Yea, I finally “fessed up” to the real basis of my question in an earlier response. I do use the paddles, but was wondering if different modes have different throttle response characteristics.
They do. Sport mode has the
best throttle response and faster, firmer shifts, with more aggressive...
The Tremec is
Well, there's passing and there's racing. Sounds like the OP was doing more of the later.
You can downshift using the Paddles without putting in M for a simple pass.
I find then S650 interface to be pretty easy and intuitive overall. Especially switching back and forth between info screens. My only complaint is there should be a dedicated +/- button for the AC at the bottom of the screen without having to hit the fan button first. That is slightly annoying...
We're only talking a 20 HP difference with the same transmission (assuming you have an A10). I wouldn't expect passing to feel any different. The A10 downshifts pretty quick when you stab the trottle in any mode.
One minor complaint I have of the S650, is that the normal steering more feels numb and loose. Sport mode feels like normal mode in my old Mach 1 and is much better all around.
The way you initially described it, you made it sound like the car was moving forward. If the wheels aren't moving, then what do you been by "kicking forward"?
Yikes, that's nuts. Sorry your having so many problems. It sounds like there were some major quality control issues with that car. I don't blame your concern. Keep us updated.
Jesus christ guy, Have a snickers. It's just a car forum. 🤣
And my statement about the 19" wheels you're referring to was in reference to GT premiums. You made the assumption I was talking about all mustangs, I was not.
Maybe now is a good time for you to stop being a hall monitor about what I...
