What's everyone using for splash guards on there S650?
Do the Dark Horse splash guards bolt into a GT? I really prefer the textured look that matches the lower trim.
Without any part changes, I'm skeptical this tune would make any huge gains. Unlike the Gen 1 and 2 Coyotes, I feel like the Gen 3 and 4s come a little more "tuned-up" from the factory. Since we already have the dual intake and throttle body, I doubt it would be good for more than 15-20 HP. So...
The people who were getting check engine lights were removing the entire sleeve instead of just the carbon trap itself. Removing the sleeve changes the inside diameter of the intake and thus throws off the MAF calibrations.
When correctly done there is zero problem removing the trap.
What? Why? No offense but I think youre jumping to conclusions. The PP aux cooler is designed for track use. And the poster above said he still saw temps of 221 with the PP.
Take a breath and determine if you have an actual problem first. 👍🏻
@TheGrabberBlueGT2024
I'd encourage you to monitor your trans temps during NORMAL driving conditions to get a base line and report back. They should be 205-215 fully warm.
After that, do some pulls and use the Paddles. When your temps go up, go back to normal driving for while and see if they...
Thanks for the pics. So essentially there is an aux cool in front of the radiator in the PP.
To the OP - I could see that being helpful on the track. But im still not convinced it would significantly lower temps in stop and go traffic. Id think you'd need consistant airflow to get real cooling...
My point is, I don't think your temps are crazy high. And you do admit to hard pulls with Paddles. Increased temps are expected under those conditions. Especially in traffic.
Maybe someone with the performance pack can chime in and share their temps.
That's not high though. I doubt the PP cooler would make a huge difference.
Also, you may want to check your fluid level. I've heard from numerous people who's A10 was filled low from the factory.
Drove home from work today, made one stop along the way. Trans temp was 188 when I pulled in the garage. I did notice it slowly crept up the whole time and never dropped. 🤷♂️
Good write up @ChitownStang. I followed this in the 6g forum as well.
I went from 2015 GT premium auto, to 2023 M1 Tremec, and just a week ago, went to a 2024 GT premium auto.
So very similar cars, but we were opposite on transmissions. I agree with most of your statements. The M1 is a very...
In doing some research, it seems that normal operating temp on the A10 is between 175-220. This has been a big question going back to the S550 as well.
If you were using Paddles and doing hard pulls it stands to reason your temps would get high. If it were me I'd let it cool down some when...
