Coyotes are very loud on cold start up. It doesnt have anything to do with the active exhaust.
Go stand behind your car and watch the valves next time you do a remote start.
The exhaust is not all the way open on cold start up. The valves do not open or close after 30 seconds, unless you change the modes.
And while it's not a huge difference, quiet mode is quieter than normal start up.

I'm not aware of any way to turn off the "heartbeat" sound. It's odd that you don't like it though. I get complements on it when people get in my car. And there was actually a thread a while back with people complaining their's wasn't working lol. Different strokes...

After having PPF on 3 mustangs, I'd highly recommend doing the whole front clip. It's better coverage and shows no lines. Also the front grille and hood vent are very difficult to do. Have a pro do it right the first time.

I dont have electrical tape over mine. I bet they broke the clip. And it does look like the plastic fastener on the battery cover is broken.

Wiping your interior down with a warm damp rag when you wash your car really helps keep dirt and oil from building up and is great maintenance. The above method is really only necessary if you have heavy build up, or are doing a yearly deep clean.
