There is some Grey area here. Jim Nijjar was inspired by the plane. Everyone else at Ford preferred the horse, hense all the Horse marketing. The name Cougar was even considered at one point. So the truth is somewhere in the middle.

41 ft-lbs isn't much. Even if his torque wrench isnt accurate it shouldn't be off enough to snap that stud like that.

Mine does that to a lesser degree on cold start up. Usually in colder temps. You wouldn't notice it unless you're listening for it, and it stops as soon as the idle kicks down. I think it's just a cold pulley or something. Ive never heard it during warm idle or driving. I've heard of other cars...

Probably because you were right on the edge of the ride hight being a problem for the camera. Who knows what calibrations are needed and when for that thing. You confirmed the fix by switching wheel diameter. This was a good education. Thanks for posting.
