Exactly. My wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee had ASS. During the summer when the engine would stop at a light, the AC would stop blowing cold and strong. Not cool when it's 110⁰ out.

As mentioned by @GrabThatBlue - just because the car is built to tolerate it, doesn't mean it's good for it. Especially for a lousy 1 mpg. Start-up causes the most wear on an engine.

It's a Mustang not a mini van. I don't know many people that buy a 50-60k sports and get seats covers to protect it from spills. Just my 2 cents.
