It's the black sealer silicon. It's messy, but not hard. Just know you get one shot at proper orientation on the decklid. Triple check it and use a grease marker to make lines. The spoiler mating surface curves and it's really easy to slide the spoiler up too high on the decklid without...
Of course I didn't mean the oils boiling temperature. Lol.
But im not going to continue this any more because you seem to be taking the convo personally and misunderstanding my statements.
Have a great day and enjoy your car. 👍🏻
You said it. The tuning world seems to be full of opinions and egos. I personally get turned off when tuners make claims and then get salty when you question them. Unfortunately there just doesn't seem to be a scientific approach. I know there are good people that know what they're doing. But I...
I've been saying this over and over again. No one cared about oil temperatures on the S550s. Then the S650 puts a gauge in your face and all the sudden people are tripping out if it goes over 200⁰ and talking about oil coolers lol. Stop overthinking it and enjoy your car people. 😎
This is 100% false.
First off, the factory camber setting on both the base and PP GT is -1.0, which is really, really tame. Ask anyone who tracks their car. As a DH owner I'm surprised you are making these claims, and I'd love to see the data backing up those numbers. I had a Mach 1 with -1.7...
@MidLifeCoyote I did not notice a difference in my oil temps today after the update. It was 106⁰ in Phoenix today. I'm still running around 206⁰-212⁰ oil temps during normal cruising. If I get "spirited" it goes up several degrees and then drops back down.
I got to say this theory that...
Right. But what he's saying is the oil temperature in these cars is determined by a computer algorithm, and the computer doesn't know if you are using synthetic blend or full synthetic. Because of that, you likely won't see a difference in the gauge.
Thats great. But oil needs to be above boiling to burn off condensation. Temps in the 220f range are normal. Not sure why you are obsessing over this. 😉
Agreed. Not sure why people trip out when they see it over 200F or 220F.
That said, the OP is running temps higher than me right now. And live on the surface of the sun. I still don't think 230 is concerning on its own, but he says it's suddenly much higher than normal...IDK what to make of that. 🤔
