You do not have lane centering. Thats only with the bluecruise cars/trucks. I have an explorer ST and it has bluecruise and its a dream to use the lane centering even with just adaptive cruise, not even full autonomous bluecruise.
If you have lane centering, you will see blue brackets inside...
I havent had one on the dyno yet, but historically they do make a bit less tq and you really need to run them higher in the RPM range to make up for it. There is tuning magic you can do to help them out tho especially with E85. Once you start thinking outside the box, these cars start to break...
I think they just want a perfect new car. I know I do. Every car I've ever bought new needed something. A scratch buffed out, or an alignment or had some weird noise or something that needed to be fixed or added. New cars these days are mistreated from the minute they leave the factory...
One thing I will tell you tho is I wait to do it until after the first oil change or maybe around 2500 miles. I want a clean break in before I put anything like that in there. Nothing to prevent the rings from seating and wearing in completely.
And for me, I break in cars very hard. Ive seen...
No people been using Ceratec for 15 years on these cars religiously. I've put it in every sports car I own since I found out about it in 2011. Thats probably 40 cars over hundreds of thousands of miles. And if you google that stuff, people are using it in all brands and types of cars now. It...
Since Gen1. This is the Phaser rattle. Louder when cold, then quiets down as oil gets up there. Funny story a few of us a couple years ago tested moving the cam angles around by manipulating the VCT drive scenarios and wouldnt you know it the noise followed the cam angle changes. Ford has...
The JLTs look like they flow the best in logs I've seen with them installed. I've seen the K&N and corsa intakes and they are about the same as stock intakes with the carbon traps out. I havent had one yet with those super expensive whipple intakes.
And no you do not need a tune for these...
You really need a real tune. The whipple tune is great to keep the car together for the masses. But its not going to be top tier performance out of the box. I normally turn them up pretty good when I do a whipple tune. And there is a ton left on the trans side.
Um yeah traction limited, but out of the box they are easily 11 second cars. I did 11.1@125 in my black 25 on a tire and my E85 tune only. Stock otherwise.
Carvana was going to sell me a perfect 2023 S550 GT. Silver with 2200 miles. I did the deal online, went to the store to get it. Car was awesome, except the entire passenger side was HORRIBLY resprayed. Overspray on ever single moulding and the interior was clearly chain smoked in. Needless...
Ive learned my lesson to try and present facts to you or debate with you. It ends up being a complete waste of time. Like this is turning out to be since you always need to have the last word. So have at it.
