Honestly, it seems like you are just fishing for anecdotal stories to justify driving on summer tires year round. Like @wesg79 said, there is plenty of info about cracking tires in low temps online. My lack of personal experience doesnt change physics. Good luck. 👍🏻
Cracking, no. But they turn into hockey pucks and I have fish tailed on PS4s in 40⁰ weather. I'm sure temps would have to get a lot lower for cracking. But im certainly not going to find out. Summer Tires in cold weather are no Bueno. I'm curious why you are still so skeptical of this.
Totally worth it. I have cermaic coated my last 4 cars and dont regret any of them. They shine even when dirty and are way easier to clean. The sacrificial layer from the coating means you dont have to worry about micro scratches, water spots, or bird shit.
All cermaic coating are not created...
For what purpose? 3.15s LSD are standard on non Performance Pack GTs. 3.55 LSD are an optional upgrade and will be on the window sticker.
Performance pack GTs have 3.73s torsen for manual, and 3.55s torsen for automatics.
Based on that, it's pretty easy to tell. 👍🏻
You can buy aftermarket spares. And they sell one that will clear the 6 piston Brembos if thats a worry. And they're probably cheaper than anything from Ford. I certainly would not let having factory spare tire influence my decision in selecting a trim package.
Sorry for the thread derailment. Not sure how that got off track to quickly.
Yes, I would highly recommend the Michelin PS4 summer tire or the Continental Extreme Sport Contact 2s. I have used both and they are excellent tires that ride and grip great in warm conditions. FYI Michelin now has a...
Man you sure are making this your hill to die on, and you've thoroughly hijacked the thread. I suggest to you start a new thread under tires and wheels.
As for the temperature question, If you do a Google search there is a ton of information at your disposal including videos. It is widely known...
Sorry man, but i just dont follow where you are going with this. Summer Tires definitely have a temperature restriction. I know from personal experience. They get hard and dont grip, and can be really f***ing dangerous in low temps. Are you disputing that?
I agree with all this, except active exhaust is a must. Not for the extra 8 HP, but for the quad tips and ability to have 4 modes. Quiet mode is more useful than you think. And track mode with everything wide open sounds absolutely incredible. It's worth the money.
Because PS4 summer tires aren't rated for temps below 40⁰ (might actually. be 50⁰), and I thought you were suggesting the PS4 all season tire. Sorry if I misunderstood.
