The most important thing to Ford or any company for that matter is margin. Yeah, history, branding and all that count but without margin, there is no profit, then there is no company.
It's illogical to not fix a problem and avoid buying a car back. My car doesn't make that noise but there have been other complaints about it here. I guess it's just math to Ford.
There is an insurrection. Calif. and NY are two of the states people are leaving the most for elsewhere. Same with oil refineries shutting down. They think their gas is high now, just wait a few months.
I read somewhere in the last three days or so that they were crying about sales. They have to cover their fixed and variable costs so "sales" is always a relative number. I'm not going to help them out.
Don't disagree at all but it will have to go into a small space some way or another to be called a "sports car". The Godzilla does a great job for what it was made to do, at low rpm.
I'm on city well water with no spots at all. After having to drill countless water wells needed in the drilling of oil and gas wells in my earlier career, I suspect those getting water spots are getting water from shallow water aquifers. To drill an oil well we had to have a strong, steady 2"...
The Coyote has proved that displacement isn't the answer to all horsepower wishes. The Coyote is a small displacement, high revving, variable valve timed engine that gets air in and exhaust out efficiently. It's small and light enough to stay together with "high" rpms. Godzilla will never...
Kind of related but kind of not, but does anyone use the "Feedback" function that Ford offers up on the screen upon shut-down? I use it a lot to offer up what I mostly don't like. I no longer get the "ta dump, ta dump, ta dump" (galloping pony?) sounds any longer either before or right after...
Ford paid what Recaro had to have for them (Recaro) to make margins acceptable to Recaro. Or, Ford made more from them by marketing them as a "premium option", likely the former. Recaro sells to a lot of different types of customers. I used to run a Tier 1 supplier to Ford and others and we...
Don't know about today it's been so long since I've been to Texas but the state used to have a 65 mph speed limit for trucks and a 70mph speed limit for cars. It worked quite well. I would guess it's different now given the size of the trucking lobby.
Me too but I feel like our numbers are coming up, LOL! What a prize to give a 5.0 driver a speeding ticket while driving a 5.0. If speeding tickets slowed down drivers, it wouldn't be insane out there. I think it's just a matter of time before there is a disaster out there, driver training or...
All cars are road rage magnets exacerbated by being willing to participate in it. I just got back from a to/from Christmas drive of 469 miles each way and there was no shortage of attempts (on their side) either on interstates or in "the woods" two lanes. "Younger" drivers are worse....just an...
So two cars doing 150+ is safer than one car doing it. There were many states that had the foxbody 5.0's, many have the Dodge hemi's and it doesn't look like people respect speed limits because of it. People get speeding tickets then continue speeding. Anyone here with a 5.0 that hasn't...
